Staying in Miami overnight to continue talks?

Yeah...this one is over.

Wow, you guys are overreacting. He's not a girlfriend staying overnight at the enemy's place, it doesn't mean he's sleeping with them and lost forever. He's a pro athlete who is looking for the best deal, and giving them a chance to make their case is just good business.

He is also being wined and dined in Miami...Its like Jesus Shuttlesworth being recruited all over again.  I don't blame him for milking it a bit.
And his other date canceled on him, why not stay in Miami an extra day instead of heading home?
Well, if the other one cancels why not go inside for some "coffee". Just sign already and get it over  with.

On the Celtics front, agent David Falk continues to say he thinks a deal gets done with Boston for free agent forward Jeff Green. One source with knowledge of the talks says it may be in the four years, $40 million neighborhood, but it is not done.
"I’m confident it’ll get done," Falk told SI.com. "I guess they got (Brandon) Bass' (contract) done, which is great. Jeff is trying to get a sense of what the team looks like first before he makes a commitment, but I expect he’ll be there and I expect it’ll be done by the 11th (when the free agency moratorium ends). We’ve gotten a lot of interest from other teams. But as far as Boston, we’re very confident we’ll get it done.
"He wants to be in Boston. He’s excited about the moves they’ve made. He’s hoping Ray Allen comes back as well, because he feels very close to Ray Allen." Allen is visiting Miami today and appears to be down to Boston and the Heat for his considerations.

That is an absolutely ludicrous contract.

Great to know that nothing this guy says ever comes true anyways. I would love it if Sam reported that Ray chooses the Heat since in reality it would mean hes coming back

He's his agent, that's what he's supposed to do, ask for the moon. I'm guessing he will get a 4 year, 30 million deal.

AP: Ray Allen is staying in Miami overnight, as talks with Heat continue.

 :-[ That's not good

What's there to talk about? It's not like they're negotiating salary. Is he asking for playing time, or a certain number of shots per game? Is he trying to negotiate for a starting spot?
