this is great news!!!  he can fill ray's void if ray leaves (i would feel ok if ray walks now), come off the bench to provide scoring at the 2, and is a much better pg than bradley if jet needs to run the point.

There is noway an agent would agree to a "deal" with a team and have it be published in the media and then back out before they signed. It would be such bad business for the agent. It's just the ethics of the business once you agree to a deal it takes them off the market and other teams respect that.

Is anyone else besides myself hoping this deal doesn't go through? A old Jet on a 3yr. Undersized 2 gaurd doesn't seem like the best fit to me. That gives us 2 SG under 6'2! Head scratcher!

It's just you.  ;D Terry can play, and he has a championship pedigree.

haha seriously.

Like I said before, SG position is getting smaller and if we really needed to we have flexibility now to do something like Pierce at SG and Green at SF.

This works if Ray comes back...that happens and we're title contenders with Jet coming off the bench. As our starting SG? Not so much...

Avery is still our starting SG.

Unless you're Elton Brand or Carlos Boozer.  ;)

You're right though, players/agents don't back out of deals very often for the reasons you state.

love it...15 plus points a game off the bench...already knows his role....combine him with green, Ray sully...second unit is going to be nice as Doc has EVER had

String up Banner 18  ;D ;D ;D ;D

But seriously, by all means this should be a heck of a bench.

anyone conceding the east to miami is not paying attention...boston gave them everything with no JET, no Bradley, bummed Ray, bummed PP, no green, no wilcox, no sully and no melo

Boston is going to be right there

Just need to stay healthy and the old guys need to keep their legs.

yeah...more games this season but not NEARLY as tough as it was this season with the season compacted

Hate to be a downer, but I can't see us keeping both AB and Allen after this.

Too many guard not enough minutes.

I would think that he and Ray being a combined 72 years old next season is a bigger worry than height.  However, Terry should go a looooong way toward solving the scoring problems Boston has had.  The three year thing shouldn't bother anyone since the last year of the deal becomes valuable as a trade chit.

Yep. Big fat knock on wood.

KG's legs were easily the best they've been since `09.  Not sure we can bank on that for a full season, but Doc will continue his minutes regimen with KG (maybe even tone it down a touch) and hopefully he'll be a warhorse again for the playoffs.  PP needs to get on that 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off plan too.

Oh yeah, and he even had the media blame his wife for it!

Honestly I wouldnt worry about this, right now Danny is trying to get doc the most talent he can.  Minutes will work themselves out, if Danny and Doc can sell Ray to come back Doc will figure out the rotations.

 Head scratcher!

He's not a 2 guard, he is a combo guard, has played the point in Dallas many times, just looks to score more than distribute.  The Celts have answered 2 needs in one, someone to competently back up Rondo and provide scoring punch off the bench.  Some of the Mavs best lineup have been with Dirk and Terry running the pick and roll with Terry at the point.  With the Celtics offense, he is going to get great looks.
