Lopez, Johnson, Deron, and Crash. A nice quartet.

Men. I'm not impressed.

Wallace is at the tail end of his career, and I don't think Lopez will ever pan out. This team's future looked A LOT better two years ago.

I think a lineup of..

C Lopez
PF Humphries
SF Wallace
SG Johnson
PG Williams

could be a 4-6 seed in the East if they can assemble some type of bench (Brooks and G$ (if re-signed) are all I know they have after this deal)

Yep. This is what it looks like when you put all of your hopes into clearing cap space and the plan backfires. Cautionary tale.

hope this doesn't mean Josh Smith is off the trading block now. Maybe they will just trade everyone except Horford and Teague though. AB,Bass,Melo and future pick for Josh smith

They get a SG for the future to replace Johnson, Bass is a solid 3 rd big man on a cheaper deal than Smith would make, they get a defensive center to develop next to Horford moving Horford to his natural PF position

Throws a wrench into getting Howard.

And is Johnson and Wallace enough to keep Williams?

So, Dwight Howard has absolutely no leverage for his "trade me to the Nets or I'll sign there in the off-season" demand anymore, right?

Poor Dwight.  I don't think Lopez + Brooks + #1 is going to get it done.

The pick going to Atlanta is Houston's 2013 pick (top-14 protected).

I guess Nets had no chance but to do this deal after a number of bad decisions they've made. I would be sick to my stomach if I was a Nets fan.

Great move by Atlanta's new GM, they should be in a good position rebuilding around Horford, Teague and maybe Smith.

If someone told me that Atlanta is going to trade 31y old Johnson, with 90M/4y left on his contract, for expiring contracts AND receive a first round pick, I would say NO WAY that happens. God bless Billy King.

I forgot about Humphries. They still have his Bird Rights, yes?

Hump, Lopez, Brooks, and their own 1st rounder?

Disagree.

Since Miami is the measuring stick:

Gerald Wallace is one of the best in the world at defending Lebron and a good rebounder for a SF to help lopez. Johnson can match up with Wade. And Miami has no chance of defending Deron Williams. He is a franchise guy. Lopez will get some easy buckets playing with that backcourt.

They also have Marshon and Gerald Green off the bench. They should have an exception. Could use Humphries in a Sign and trade (Bass?). They have other options.

I think they will have a good team and could be scary in the 2nd round.

how so?

Morrow and the pick are really the only worthwhile parts of that deal for Atlanta and that's pennies on the dollar for JJ.  I would think they'd be looking to move some of those players later on for a single player and could be in the market for mayo (or mustard  ;) )

More like dumb dwight. The guy is moronic , he could have been an UFA and chose where he goes without making his new team trade away pieces to get him .

I'm not sure that's the tale. The cautionary tale is, don't give up a lottery pick for Gerald Wallace because Gerald Wallace isn't that great anymore, and besides is a free agent in the offseason and you'll have to way overpay to retain him, which you shouldn't do cuz again, he's not that great anymore.
