  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Who can we possibly get for the 7th pick? Waiters? Henson? Drummond? Go to players are crucial for contenders. Pierce is our go to guy. We don't trade our go to guy.

i believe the thought process here is the only way pierce gets traded is if c's management gets the feeling kg is retiring. in that case, the c's have no legitmiate shot next year at being "contenders." otherwise, you are right. it wouldnt make much sense.

Our go to guy will be 35 years old and might is not might not be a go to guy.

I would love for us to get Drumond personally. Chad Ford believes that if he tries a bit, he'll be like DeAndre Jordan. If he tries a lot, he can become Dwight Howard. Love his upside, the culture in Boston should be able to get his motor going. I'll roll the dice.

But realistically, unless Danny Ainge knows KG is not coming back, there's no way Pierce is traded.
"I'm from the bottom, I understand what it's like to have and to not have. My perception on giving is to put yourself in those people's shoes and go from there. So that's what I did. " - The One and Only KG

It's not too tough....you deal Pierce for #7, then you trade #7, #21, and #22 to Charlotte for #2 (better offer than Cleveland's #4 + #24....IF IF IF they don't care about taking T-Rob).

Then you trade #2 to Cleveland for #4 and #24 and grab Kidd-Gilchrist with 4 since he'll be there...and get back that 20s pick...
