I am absolutely sick of the rumors trading Rondo, it doesn't make sense to move up in this draft which have only 1 superstar to move maybe the best PG in the league. I liked his leadership in the playoffs and I don't think he is that hard to handle. I think in his heart Rondo is a celtic.

Just the rumors and think about something else then trading Rondo.

Would like to say the same for Pierce but that's just more realistic to happen if it's a case to move up in the draft. Don't want to see it happen. Pierce should retire as a celtic.

I'm all for keeping Rondo but would you be upset if he goes in a deal that nets us Dwight howard and gives us the chance at maybe deron williams? Not trying to be a pain just trying to see if that would change your mind. Trust me I am not for something like Rondo for evans and the 5th because that would set us back.

Old man Rivers is with his son tonight ... to be able to celebrate with him becoming a Celtic!
Everyone wants truth on his side, not everyone wants to be on the side of truth.

The best bet would be to trade Rondo to move up.....for Doc's kid + spare parts

Ainge views Rondo like he did Antoine Walker: trying to have a stranglehold on the team - and he had to go

If Rondo goes, chances are better that Ray stays, too

Then the Celtics could pick up PG's Marshall or Teague later in the first round

Also, Crawford could help fill the PG, too

Ainge days indeed!

Further,

If we trade Rondo... to draft Rivers... Then I invite my fellow celtics fans to join me in jumping off a bridge tonight...

Honestly if we trade Rondo for a pick, it better be Davis... say no to a Rondo trade

Rondo has a huge fan base. There's a new generation that absolutely adores him. His jersey sale are periodically top10 every year. It makes no sense basketball wise, or business wise to trade Rondo.

If we trade Pierce that's a good message to KG that were blowing this thing up  ::)

If we trade Pierce, it because KG already told Danny he's retiring.  It's entirely possible KG told Danny he's done and Danny asked him to keep quiet and think about it until after the draft.  That would be the only way I see us moving Rondo or Pierce...

I would.  I think that Rajon Rondo is a better player to build around right now than Dwight Howard, and I wouldn't want to trade him based on a whole lot of speculation over what two prima donnas who can't make up their minds about anything will decide to do in the future.

Why anyone thinks Pierce or Rondo might be involved in this escapes me.

I'd be stunned if it just isn't a two picks for one rumor.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

That would change a little, I was talking about trading Rondo to move up in the draft. If we could land Howard which have to be through Rondo (don't like trading star for star) than maybe I will pull the trigger but then the chance we got D-Will is pretty small as he narrowed his destinations to just Dallas/Brooklyn.

Don't see a Celtic team with Howard and D-Will. If we can get Howard try to do without trading Rondo. So we can rebuild arround Rondo and Howard.

2 first rounders 2012, future 1st round, AB and maybe a sign and trade with Jeff Green for Howard could make a little sense.

I just wanna play next season with the same core :) I loved this team so much.

Ainge is not afraid of making an unpopular move.

Consider Antoine Walker and James Posey.

Bye Bye Rondo!  Hello Austin!

Houston will have a better offer with better first round picks

now that I think about it I don't even know if trading up is worth it.. if we couldnt get Perry Jones III before we probably could now based on the knee report. And we could grab Royce or something as well, thats a pretty good draft right there unless we're picking top 10

The only trades that make sense for giving up Rondo are a dominant big man.  Howard or Cousins and the 5th type deals or even Anthony Davis.  Those are the types of basketball trades DA has to consider.  But there definitely are scenarios where Rondo could be moved.  Assuming KG retires: Tyreke Evans and the 5th pick no, Cousins and the 5th pick, yes.

TO be honest, I'd rather keep Bradley and our two picks.  There are going to be players who will fall, and with two picks we can pick up someone who has talent but maybe some issues which can pay off huge in the long run.  And with this team very close to rebuilding I think having 2 picks in the 20-21 range is a lot better than moving up to the 7-10 range where the talent is marginally better. This drafts talent is arguably pretty close from 6-22.

I'd love to move up but I don't want to trade Rondo or Pierce to do it.  I'd rather not lose Bradley either though I'm not that attached.  Too bad we can't do a handshake deal on a sign-and-trade for Ray, Bass, and/or Green.
