In announcing draft-pick compensation to Celtics over Jeff Green heart condition, league says David Stern found "no evidence of bad faith."

League says Stern found that OKC cardiologists had information on Green that was not disclosed to Thunder management or Celtics re: trade.
More or less what several people have guessed.

NBA also says "OKC's cardiologists were in possession of information about Jeff Green that was not shared with Thunder management."

More: "and that should have been disclosed to the Celtics in connection with the trade of Green in February 2011."
Sounds to me like they had an abnormal EKG, which often times does not lead to additional tests. As another poster mentioned, many of these players have enlarged hearts and non-life-threatening arrhythmias.
My guess is the Celts did an EKG, it lead to additional tests, found the abnormality, and questioned what OKC had. If OKC docs had similar information (I am guessing they did), and this was not shared with OKC management before the trade, it makes sense that the league is forcing OKC to compensate the Celtics.
Good job by our team in this situation. We caught a medical condition that could have killed Jeff Green. We got it treated, he is fine....and we got a high 2nd round pick to boot. Jeff Green re-signs, and away we go.
