That's a bit of an overpay for Minny.  Adelman must be really fond of Budinger.

Here's a tweet:

Sources say Houston has an offer of Lowry, the #14 and #16 picks for Tyreke Evans and the #5 pick on the table. Up to Sacramento to decide.

Hmm,
So then either flip those pieces or Martin/Scola/#5 for Dwight.

Are they trying to start a core of Tyreke and Dwight?

Morey's desperate to dump Martin/Scola.  Would people like a deal that involves an aging Scola to the Celtics, a sign-and-trade that sends Bass back to Orlando, and a draft pick to grease the wheels as part of a trade that facilitates Howard to Houston?

Daryl Morey is going to trade those 3 picks, Kevin Martin and Lowry to Orlando for Dwight Howard.

Then send Howard to LA for Bynum on the deadline.

Daryl Morey is a secret Lakers agent,  just go back a few months with that bogus trade to try to aqcuire CP3 to the Lakers.

That trade made plenty of sense for the Rockets.

Quote

So he's an agent for the Lakers because he made a trade w/ them that would've greatly benefited the team that employs him?

Getting them CP3, and the Hornets getting a bad pick plus take on huge salary for CP3 made that whole trade fishy.

It's pro sports, let's not be naive here, there are guys working for the benefit of other teams in supposedly rival organisations, people in FO's do that all the time.

I'll acknowledge that I have read your comments, and am going to opt to end the conversation at that.

I prefer keeping Bass for cheaper money and maintaining our cap flexibility.

Some kind of a Kevin McHale connection?

Hard to imagine Minnesota couldn't have got more for #18.

Scola is one heckuva an offensive talent. At the right price, I'd absolutely be thrilled to have him.

If I am Sacramento I do that deal.  Maybe ask for a second rounder on top.

They now have 14, 16 and 18. Word is they are trying to get Howard. Looks like letting Daryl Morey go is going to bite us. He has proven to be an outstanding GM. The Rockets are really going for it.

How is getting Dwight Howard out of the Eastern Conference "biting" us?  That is just one less massive dude KG has to worry about defending at the 5 next year.  I hope he goes to Houston or LA and stays there forever.

This trade does show you that a lot is possible with our picks and our young players...

I think that Houston wants to start a core of Goran Dragic, Courtney Lee, Tyreke Evans, Chandler Parsons, Marcus Morris, Patrick Patterson and Dwight Howard.  Young, talented and versatile group.  They got shooters, slashers, rebounders, defenders they should make the playoffs in the West.

Sam Amick says he has two sources refuting that is a real trade.

I don't know. Budinger's a proven young player. Athletic, shot above .400 from behind the line and is a capable defender. I'd be happy to get that out of my #18 pick.

Daryl Morey is the guy that convinced Danny Ainge to draft Rondo.
