Avery Bradley by himself with no picks to trade up and grab Terrance Ross. While I love Bradley and all I think Ross will blossum into a star in the right system and frankly I think Bradley is too short to play long term SG and his jump shot is not respected very much which gives us 2 starting guards that teams can sag off of.

Ross is a very good shooter and has the capabilities to play great defense..." Long and active defender on-ball ... Excellent pass denial. ... Capable help defender, proven through passing lane deflections and weak-side shot blocks"-nbadraft.net

yay? nay?

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

I'm on the fence.

On one hand he'd be a better fit than Bradley and in theory could be far better for us.

On the other, there's risk involved. Bradley loves it here, enough to play without an arm, and there doesn't seem to be much problems. You never know how a draftee is going to respond.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

This is what this question does to me. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. I love Ross as a prospect, but Bradley ain't too shabby himself. I say nay.

It certainly is a roll of the dice, I mean he could turn into a bust and Bradley could become an all star but that's how all these moves work.

I'm not entirely sold on the idea myself but I have been thinking long and hard about it and the more I think the more I like the idea

I feel the same way I did when Rondo played with one arm and then the trade rumors began. AB is a team guy. He's a glue guy. He'll go to war for you and take some shrapnel in the process. You don't give up on guys like this. Celts are a defense first team - AB fits the mold perfect. College players are nothing yet -- too much unknown to go down that road.

So the answer is NO!

I think Danny ain't gonna do it... AB was just barely scratchin the surface of his potential and his upside is still not even reached half way yet. Rondo already likes playing alongside Bradley, and don't get started about the height, these 2 may be the shortest PG/SG starter in the league but defensively, they are demons and there is enough sampling this season that with proper training camp, and a full season together, these 2 would be a tandem like no other the NBA has produced... Heck Bradley almost beat the Hawks by himself during a critical stage when the Hawks were playing for homecourt so Id say NOOOO!

enough with the avery bradley trade ideas... he doesn't have any trade value.  Nobody outside of Boston would be willing to give up anything of value for an undersized shooting guard who supposedly plays good defense, shot well for a month, shot 36% in the playoffs and is coming off major shoulder surgery.

The Celtics might, in-fact, have something with Bradley... maybe, just maybe he turns into a special player.  But he hasn't played enough to earn much respect outside of Boston.  Better off just keeping him for a bit longer to see what he can contribute.  Doubt we could even get a mid 1st rounder for him straight up.

The two players are the same age and the only thing Ross has over Bradley is height--Ross's j is his calling card and he just shot 37.1% from the college three, whereas Bradley shot 40.7 from the NBA 3 against NBA defenses.

Bradley was a third-team NBA defender as a 21yo playing better than that by the end of the year.  And of course Bradley is a combo guard who can play the 1.

No question but I keep Bradley.

No thanks.

I really, really like TRoss as a player, but AB is special.

He is young, quick, DEFENSIVE-MINDED, smart, and still has a few years to reach his potential.

The guy only played like 20 games and is already getting Defensive Team votes.

We all saw his offense starting to come around.

Give him a full training camp and let him recuperate that shoulder and we'll see the benefits of a healthy AB next season - next to Jeff Green, Andrew Nicholson, Rondo, and whatever young guns we have around next year.

Please stop with the Avery Bradley trades for draft picks...why would you trade a guy who you know is an All NBA Defensive player for a complete unknown?

Personally I wouldn't trade a known commodity for and unknown commodity and anyone drafted after the first few picks is an unknown commodity.

NO thanks

Essentially we would be trading a super young proven nba play for a completely unproven player, the only gain from the trade is 3.75" in height. not worth the risk

also they are both 21 years old
