and frankly I think Bradley is too short to play long term SG

I just don't believe this anymore, so I would say no.

Neither do I. He may not have elite SG size but he's build solidly with long arms and quick feet and he can absolutely harass 2 guards that may not be the best ballhandlers and move his feet fast enough to make trying to penetrate a chore. And he's long enough to close out on shooters.

I definitely keep him with an eye on maybe finding a backup combo guard that can shoot to play with him and Rondo. Doron Lamb for example off the top of my head. I'd love Ross too but definitely not at the expense of AB.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

No.
Terrance hasnt proved anything in the NBA.
Avery is going to be one of the best defensive players in the NBA ever period. This guy has so much untapped talent, just give him some years.
Jack of all trades, master of none.

What if avery does not recover well from his should injury? Do we want to take the risk? His value is high now and I don't think i want to be stuck with another injury prone player.

Ross is kind of soft with narrow shoulders.

Bradley has a football player mentality and can still stroke it from anywhere.

Bradley was much much higher ranked in high school, and he still hasn't had much opportunity to show his offensive arsenal, and rarely had the green light to create offense for himself.

Ross stayed back a year, and was still only ranked 48th in his class. Bradley didn't stay back, and was between #1 and #4 in his class.

Bradley probably has the same wingspan as well.

No way would I make this trade.   Bradley is a proven NBA talent at SG, not PG.   Ross has not proven anything.

Negatives

Needs to improve his handle, shot selection
Needs to add an in-between game
Can sometime overly defer to teammates
    Needs to add strength

Defers to others is not a qaulity one wants in a SG.

no to this trade. Bradley is a legit player, and he showed potential of being a PLAYER - Joe Dumars light-style.

His man to man defense is excellent, the corner 3's looked really good for a month or 2, His cutting is sharp and efficient, and lastly he's shown flashes of killer drives ending in dunks at the rim in traffic. If Bradley can come back and repeat this season, that'll be really nice. If he takes another leap forward... watch out.

I'll go ahead and say that it wouldn't shock me if Bradley turns out to be a better SG in the long run than anyone drafted in 2012.

There are few scenarios in which I would trade Avery

I keep reading this thread as if Avery were to really get traded  :(

scared me for a sec...but yeh, NO, I think if Bradley were to enter this draft he will still be top 10 talent (yes I have that much confident in him)

At this point he would be. But the way he was when he came out of college probably not.

Danny hit the jackpot stealing AB.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
NO WAY! Oh my god I can't believe how overrated Ross is ! The guy cannot, I repeat CANNOT create his own shot. He has zero handle, he isn't half the athlete Avery is. God have mercy if Danny did this I'd hunt him down myself!

Terrence Ross= Great shooter, Great defender. Nothing more! He's a poor mans Avery Bradley!
Did people watch him at all in college? The draft videos are just showing highlights- this guy seriously cannot drive to the paint to save his life and he is basically like James Jones with better defense. I'm dead serious.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Huge Nay. bradley already has two years of nba experience under his belt. Doc and his teammates trust him, and he has gained huge confidence on both ends of the floor this year. Plus he is a starter on a team that made the eastern conference finals...There is no way i would even think about making this deal.
