He quit on his team.

So basically, you are saying 20.6 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, 1.5 steals, .573 shooting, 3rd in defensive player of the year voting, 7th in voting for MVP, and all NBA 1st team (5th straight season) is equal to Howard quitting?

Imagine how good he will be on my loaded team.

There are other good teams in the league, what happens if your team goes on a losing streak?  that could spell trouble

Not really.  I don't have multiple years of making bad personal choices.

As pointed out above, even when Dwight's 'unhappy' he is still a very productive player.

I dunno, a team centered around Deron and Dwight could be highly combustable.  One will refuse to play the other will make your coach quit.

Downeast Diablos

PG - Allen Iverson (SG Swing 04/05), Kenny Anderson (93/94), Damon Stoudamire (96/97)

SG - Mitch Richmond (88/89), Ron Harper (SF Swing 86/87), Klay Thompson (SF Swing 11/12)

SF - Andrei Kirilenko (03/04), Kevin Martin (SG Swing 06/07), Larry Johnson (PF Swing 92/93)

PF - Amar'e Stoudemire (C Swing 10/11), Charles Oakley (C Swing 86/87)

C   - Dikembe Mutombo (99/00), Roy Hibbert (11-12)

When you made the Amare Stoudemire pick, I was hoping you would go with a different power forward. I actually ended up picking him later -- Danny Manning.

I thought Manning would have been a great fit alongside Iverson's and Richmond's explosive scoring in the backcourt and Dikembe's interior game.

Very good defender to continue to fortify that backline alongside Dikembe plus a really good shooter, ball-handler and passer with a post game who is very team orientated and would help balance Iverson's scoring instincts at PG.

I would have liked to have seen a similar team orientated defender, ball-handler, passer and floor spacer at small forward too to continue to help AI out. Probably more of a role player type. Someone like Tayshaun Prince.

Then bring more firepower off the bench to supplement that starting unit.

PG - Allen Iverson
SG - Mitch Richmond
SF - Tayshaun Prince
PF - Danny Manning
C  - Dikembe Mutombo

One more thing, where is the evidence he quit?  There is evidence that he created a distraction, but not quit.

Show me when Howard refused to play and wasn't hurt.

You ask for a player that ousted a coach, I can give a list from the top 10 players of all time.

Weak arguments.  Never effected their play on the floor.

You know who never quit on his team? Marc Gasol.

Neither will Steve 'The Maple-Leaf Ninja' Nash, Michael 'Finnegan's Wake' Finley, Scottie 'The Body' Pippen, Elton 'John' Brand, or Jermaine 'Lights Out' O'Neal.

I was worried about 'the body', but I narrowly avoided that by not drafting Toni Kukoc.
