Bout time J Kidd went. But with GP already there?

Oh I know.  I struggled with that one, but decided to go with who I had as the best player available.

But hey maybe they can both share the back-court. Neither of them are considered small.

I understand. I think it can work. The Clippers had a similar strategy with all their guards and I liked it for the most part. I think it can be a very versatile and defensively good backcourt.
They really didn't CP3 had the ball the majority of the time he was on the court no matter if they had Billups/Mo/Bledsoe whomever with him.

Since Kidd/Payton both deserve heavy minutes there are going to be chemistry issues. Not to mention overall their best years were before either was at their best shooting wise.

Lol no names...  ;)
I'm going to assume that the players in this game are aware of who the current players on the Clippers roster are and aren't going to be "spoiled" by me using their names instead refering to them abstractly as "Clipper's Guards".

Zealous no names rule nit-picking is the second worst thing about these games.

I gotta agree with Kane on this one.

Me too, you never know who people might forget. Don't assume everyone is anal retentive in their prep as you, Faf.
Because when having a discussion that centers on the current guard rotation of the LAC this NBA season people really aren't aware of who the starting PG//SG/Combo Guard/backup PG are if I refer to them with pronouns instead of their names?

Faf,

You could always refrain from perpetuating the conversation, especially since you're not making picks. You could also tone down the hyperbole. When someone writes, "Lol no names...  ;)" and you call them zealous, it tends to escalate.

You could have said, "Well this season the clippers had one primamary ball handler so your analogy isnt 100% true."  Or you  could have let the comment go if you thought replying to it would result violating one of the longstanding rules of these drafts

Given the multiple responses about it, zealous is a perfect word for it.

I really like the Rodman pick for Kane.  At this point getting a guy with one exceptional skill is a great pick.

Let alone two exceptional skills.

Wade is no Jordan, and whoever else Kane gets is no Pippen, but Rodman/Wade is a good building block. You'd like to see more well-rounded talent but he's a solid pick, HOF'r.

Abbreviated defense:

Matrix has a unique skill set that opens up a lot of flexibility for me. His slashing skills compliment Webber in the high post, and it does allow me to go small/quick to combat a potential lack in size.

Well I really looked at him as having two. The rebounding that year was the best the NBA has seen since 1972. But I really wanted his defense. Many would say he is a top ten defender of all time and maybe top five bc at this point in his career he had just won two DPOY awards, was ALL NBA Defense, and was maybe the only guy who could defend all 5 positions in the NBA.

His rebounding is truly amazing, but his defense was the main reason I picked him. Plus at this time in his career he was still all about basketball.

I mean he was ALL NBA Third Team and averaged less then 10 points a game. Pretty unheard of for a guy to make any ALL NBA Team with such little statistical offensive output.

You can never go wrong with defense and 15 rebounds per game.

Was really thinking he'd go somewhere around the third round. But a solid pick none the less.

Because C Webb is a really good passer. I see where you're going. Very nice.

I want Kane disqualified.

Nash Defense:
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for elite defense, I can tell you I don't have the chops. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let me give Scottie Pippen ally-oops, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will craftily pilot an offense better than any point guard since Magic Johnson.
