Quit whining about the Refs. Miami was just better. Period.

They were...So why did they need so much help last night?

Whether they needed it or not....They got it.

I'll admit to the Celtics being outplayed. The only trouble I have is the psychological damage the referrees are doing to the Celtics by their apparent unethical interpretation of the rules. Tim Donaghy and the Ball Don't Lie, You Know.

It would help if key contributors (on the Celtics) can shoot a basketball, finish at the rim, and win the 50-50 battles for possession once in a great while so we don't get as affected by the unethical officiating.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Moranis,

So, you are telling me that Lebron doesn't touch the ball after his break away dunks (and then hanging unnecessarily on the rim) like KG did when called for the team technical???  Really?  You said you watched the game, but you somehow missed Lebron doing that????? and he did NOT get a technical for touching the ball OR for hanging on the rim when NO ONE was anywhere near him or under him.

Smitty77
KG got a delay of game tech for hitting the ball away.  It is the actual definition of delay of game.  It is a call that often isn't made, but according to the rule book it was the correct call.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

its not just C's fans either. ive had lakers and Knicks fans who said the c's were getting jipped.

NBA officiating has been the worst in all sports for awhile. and it all goes back to the top...david stern. he changed the sport, made it less physical, which also gave the ref's far more power over the outcome of the game...and the ref's have no accountability for their poor officiating.

the C's will get a couple games where the calls are in their favor..wanna know why? because stern wants 6 or 7 games for revenue purposes....doesnt make it right. It makes the sport FAKE

can anyone here name an NFL or NHL official?? I cant...but for some reason I know the names of several nba officials and that should not happen in sports...let the players play the games

refs didn't make Pierce shoot 5-18 or Ray shoot 1-7.  If those guys can't get healthy, this will be a short series.  Apparently those guys can't get healthy... so this will be a short series.

MIA has had 6 technicals called the whole playoffs, their foes have had 22 called on them.   LeBron and Wade gripe to the refs and nothing.   You must have no concept of a double standard.

They did pound on us the boards and played better than us.  But the one sided officiating didn't help our cause.  We played like crap but some of those calls were ludricous.

One reason I don't like watching LeBron is all the travels and no foul fouls he gets.   It is not basketball it's an athletic performance where he can push off at will with impunity or knock over people when blocking shots but not so for the other team.

You're right, the Heat did.  We got banged on the inside & missed shots, the Refs just didn't call the fouls.  Don't believe me, go look at the lop-sided blocks number -- a biproduct of all the no calls.

Seriously, go back and watch that first half again.

At least 10 times we get to the tin, draw contact, and get no call.  Add in the BS techs, and the refs were good for about a 16 point swing in that first half.

& FWIW, I started counting how many times MIAMI 'delayed the game' following a made shot.  Counted 13; after the KG tech.

Miami played well, but should have been battling back from a 16-17 point deficit after the half.

Moranis,

You amaze me. Is it your goal to make us all wonder IF you really are a C's fan???????  Are you saying that Lebron did not touch the ball after a made basket the ENTIRE game?'

How about Lebron taking 3 steps on at least TWO occasions.  On the long pass from Wade in the first half, he took one step and then hopped with both feet.  He took three steps in the second half and the announcers were raving about his move.  Did you not see those either?

What's in the rule book isn't the issue, whether those rules are enforced the same way on both ends of the court is. He doesn't have an issue with the call on KG if they make the same call on the Heat.

just like JVG said, palming and traveling are rules too(referring to wade and james). They could call a travel on those 2 every other time down the court. It was obviously a ticky tack call that shouldn't have been called.

That one "tardy" call on Pietrus as he was guarding Lebron made me LOL.

That whistle came about 3-4 secs AFTER the supposed infraction.

Back breaker.  The Heat were up 8 at that point.  Fair play would have lead to a fast break & C's cutting it to 6.

Instead, LBJ get's bias treatment and cHeat go up ten.

NBA officials are so very good at effecting the game without it showing up on the highlights (why they never get new ones).

Notice their worst calls are always 1st half or late 3rd/ early 4th?  They know they can't mess up the boss' end of game sportcenter clip, ya know??

I agree the James on Rondo and a couple others were clean but Pierce got mauled quite a few times as well as Rondo with no calls.

I watched the tape twice & counted 13 DOG's by Miami, but never were they even warned.

The reffing was biased but the Heat were outplaying us. The officiating affected the game but didn't determine it.

However, the NBA should have a look at it.

And see...that is why I am at a quandary regarding the NBA as time has progressed.

I want to believe that things are legit.....I tell myself that BOS could've played better (and they certainly could have played better)....but my eyes tell me that BOS was playing against more than 5 people out there.

For me, that was/has been plain as day to see.
