I do NOT think Ray is a scrub.....he is an allstar..to me.....but when he has an off night....he should be played sparingly..to see if that helps......but i gotta get off this subject....it is making me mental..LOL...

I'll admit it's a small sample size but those are scrub numbers. And for anybody that has watched, his defense has been awful.

I don't know if it injuries or age, but he doesn't belong on the floor, particularly against an athletic team like Philly.

He was fine in game 1, really good in game 2.... His defense has been awful? False. Good? No. Ray Allen esque? Yes.

And you think the alternatives, Pietrus and Pavlovic are better options? Never.

Ray's had one decent game against Philly, going 7-14 for 17 points in the Game 2 loss.  Overall, his offense this season has been tepid (36 points on 31 shots in 126 minutes).  Allen has been average to poor in every other facet of basketball besides shooting for a while now, and his play this series hasn't changed that.

Doc really doesn't have many other options, with AB playing with one arm, and the rest of the littles (Dooling, Sasha, Moore, and Quisy) marginal NBA players at best.

So Doc is going to play Ray 30 minutes and hope that, at a minimum, the threat of him catching fire from three will space the floor and allow opportunities for other, like in Game 3, when Ray got up only one shot in 25 minutes but the Cs had a huge game offensively.

I'm not going to disagree that Ray looks like a shell of his former self this series, but he's being a gamer.  I'd rather have Ray Allen hopping around on one leg than the alternatives at Doc's disposal right now.

  Maybe Doc should decide who to play. If all the players went up to Doc and said they can't play because they aren't fully healthy you'll be seeing a lot of Moore and JJJ and the like.

People sure have a short memory, a lack of respect, and originality when they start new posts.  Sure RA has lost a step, he is injured, isn't anywhere near 100%.  But he is out there, giving it his all just like the rest of them.

Have a little respect for our players, and lighten up on RA.  All of the C's want to win and play well.  This kind of negativity doesn't help.
