I hate him for what he does against us on the court as a Celtic fan. I hate how he gets easy calls but that's the fault of the league.
That said I don't hate him personally. I think LeBron's PR guy is an idiot and also that he lacks media-savvy and the knowledge of how to present himself as a public figure.
Best case in point: the "decision". Sure it's for charity but his image went down the drain after that stupid, stupid episode. I think it was intended to up his attention (including the charity part of it) and even though they say no publicity is bad, this is.
The "decision" on ESPN made his act of joining up with other stars
that much worse. I'll admit, that made me dislike him quite a bit initially. Basically a middle finger to Cleveland.
I'm pretty sure he's a nice guy off the court. But what do you expect from a guy who's had money thrown at him right after graduating high school? He's bound to be somewhat egotistical and not world-savvy at all.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT1jgFZZryEhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT-I8jQDQ7cHe's not being sinister at all. Just exactly what you'd expect from a guy in his situation. I wish major sports cared about education a bit more but the that's the way the world works.
On the other hand, lots of people say that Michael Jordan is a jerk. The one that stuck out to me is (
warning: language):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4ZQERHL6owNice to know our big three are such chill guys off the court btwLeBron might turn into that once he hits the "top of the world". Hopefully he doesn't. I've heard people say money corrupts and I've heard people say money brings out your true self. I like to think there's good in everyone but that's for another thread.
