Let me try again.

1. Drink in moderation - except once a year or so, get really drunk; it's a lot of fun, and you only go around once.  Just don't do anything stupid, like drive; the best drunken activity is sloppy sex with a loved one.

2. Don't smoke too much; cigarettes are a nasty habit, but cigars were good enough for Red, and they're good enough for me!

3. Try not to take things too seriously.  Laugh your ass off whenever possible.

4. Do try and build up that iocaine immunity; it's bound to come in handy sometime.

I also have 3 rules when dating women:

1) Never date a girl who doesn't get your jokes, because if she doesn't get them now, she won't get them later, and that's when you'll need them.

2) Never date a girl who has tons of male dudes that are 'just friends'. In someone's mind they're not 'just friends'. Doesn't matter whose.

3) If she dresses like she has money, acts like she has money, and talks like she has money, but you're pretty sure she's broke...run. Run fast.

Keep in mind...these rules are from when I was 22. I'm now 28 so maybe they're outdated/unrealistic for a 28 year old dude looking for a 28 year old lady.

Yeah, decaff beer seems rather nonsensical.
