Off-Topic: What are your 'Three Rules'?

I have 3 rules when dating women:

1) shut up and listen to what she has to say.
2) tell her she looks beautiful and looks great in what she is wearing.
3) treat her to really good food.

If you do all that and still dont get the results you want, move on...

I also have 3 rules when dating women:

1) Never date a girl who doesn't get your jokes, because if she doesn't get them now, she won't get them later, and that's when you'll need them.

2) Never date a girl who has tons of male dudes that are 'just friends'. In someone's mind they're not 'just friends'. Doesn't matter whose.

3) If she dresses like she has money, acts like she has money, and talks like she has money, but you're pretty sure she's broke...run. Run fast.

Keep in mind...these rules are from when I was 22. I'm now 28 so maybe they're outdated/unrealistic for a 28 year old dude looking for a 28 year old lady.

I'll go with these three, the first two courtesy of StartOrien and Neurotic Guy respectively and add one of my own:

1. Be Nice.

2. Let go of they way things 'should' be and deal with the way things are.

3. Don't assume anything, even if that means 95% of all questions go unanswered.

Ha! ok, ok.  I think our goals are a little different.  Mine is to get them naked, its seems yours has to do with marriage.  Not mutually exclusive all the time, but usually.
