Now JJJ gets into the rotation and Steamer gets crucial minutes in the paint. This will help the Celtics tank due to depth issues...Minus trading the Big 3, Ainge just gave the tanking crowd what they wanted...Have Fun!

I would like to point out that I didn't want the team to stand pay but without a decent big man we don't have a shot. But the Celtics keep picks JJJ Steamer and Bradley...I guess that's good.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
Danny didnt do diddly just to please us. I dont believe in tanking cause with Danny's luck, we will again draft higher than 6, so we will also get diddly in this coming draft. He pulled one miracle once. The run is over. Now we pay the Piper for the next 20 yeras. That, you can take to the bank.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

I am happy they didn't give away future cap space for role players.

thank god we preserve our 25 mil in cap space... just enough to bring back Bass, KG, Ray and Jeff Green (best case scenario).

I don't know what I'd do if my CEltics weren't stuck as a 35-45 win team for the foreseeable future.

Would you have been happy to give up picks and cap space for Okafor?

What star was out there to trade for?

It's not to please us but this was the outcome people wanted and now when it happens people wonder why Ainge did nothing...No pleasing Celtics fans

Now JJJ gets into the rotation

Like he has been since Wilcox went out?

What would you have done to make us a contender this year?

In case no has noticed, the team is 8-2 in the last 10 games and are only a few plays away against the Lakers from being 9-1. We're also breathing down Atlanta's neck for the 6th spot in the playoffs and are only 1 1/2 games out of leading the Atlantic.  Are we a long shot at winning another title?  Sure, but what could Ainge have done about that?

Why does 20 years have to be the magic number.

We've got money to blow, picks to use, a young star point, and a rehabbed image(stigma of racism fading).

We're in pretty good shape.

Agreed.

I'm assuming Danny deals like a mad man on draft day.

Nothing.  I would have gotten a draft pick for Ray and a draft pick for Pierce.  I'd rather start our decade long rebuild with assets in hand than start "later" with nothing.

But if I wanted to at least be competitive in the first round, I'd have traded a 2nd rounder for Kaman.
