Ainge offered Indiana a pick for them to take in Jermaine O'Neal in a salary dump.
What kind of pick, a first rounder? Link?

A second rounder. No link but legitimate source. Indiana didn't agree.
Legitimate source? So you're connected to the deli guy too?

I beg your pardon?

If he gets another 1st round pick, plus a player for Ray, #44 should be put in the rafters by 3pm

Not worth it to me. I'm not even sure why everyone is so fascinated with draft picks anyway. We never play them.

Keep Ray and let him re-sign for cheap in the off season. He'll be great for the 2nd unit.
Delonte West, Marcus Banks, Rajon Rondo, Leon Powe, Ryan Gomes, Kendrick Perkins, Tony Allen, Al Jefferson, and Gerald Green are all confused to how you've forgotten all of their playing time already.

Once the C's are rebuilding with just Pierce and Rondo likely remaining of the current group draft picks and young players are going to be the path forward again.
don't forget BBD, Semih and Bill Walker still playing in the NBA.  Luke is in the D-league but tearing it up apparently.  Now that Gerald is back, I believe the draft washouts are Giddens and Pruitt.

Inside joke about the dehli guy.

Basic jist is that you don't have any track record around here, and referencing an anonymous and utterly unknown "legitimate source" isn't going make most around here place much stock in what you say.

Your report makes sense in the context of a DA attempt to put together a three team trade to get Kaman, but that's connecting dots you didn't and giving your report more credibility than I'm willing to give.

I'm no expert but.. Can this be executed:

We sign Jeff Green today just so we can use him as a bait (or in an extreme case an asset) to lure other GMs.. Look it like this:

We are going to be more appealing to other GMs, Danny could kick off a conversation and try to work something out for a good young big man, and if necesary, he could deal him.. I know he's part of ur future, but can this be done?
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

So giving up Ray would mean rebuild who-cares about the season right?

would hate to see Ray go
Ray is a good player but I don't see trading him as giving up on our season. Right now he is someone who score primarily off wide open 3's. Even though he's probably the best in the league at doing it I think they could find someone else to fill that void.
agreed, ray will be wanted by many teams and for us he is getting to be a 1 dimensional player, great shooter but his ball handling has never been that good and this year his driving to basket has slowed down and his defense is really off
ray for a big?

I hate to say it, but Ray is borderline useless in every aspect if he isn't taking a 3. He can't put the ball on the floor, he can't pass and his defense has been abysmal as of late.

I wonder if Dwight staying in Orlando will make Ainge more willing to make a big move.  All the cap space in the world isn't worth much if a franchise player isn't on the market.

I really hate these trade Ray scenarios. Unless we get a guy who could legitimately start on the next Boston championship team, what's really the point?  And I don't see that happening.  If all we're going to get is late first rounders and/or role players, we might as well let the Big Three get one last shot.

The next Mikael Pietrus or James Posey we can get on the FA market down the road. We don't need to trade for him now.

I agree, but love him , one of classiest guys in nba.  Used to watch him at UConn and he was nice then compared to a lot of college "stars"

Hope we can get a great young player in return if he gets traded.
But if he doesnt.. Well fine enough Ray can still shoot it!
