Plus, if this is true, Melo has GOT to realize how bad this looks.
He leaves a very good team in DEN, with a GREAT Coach in Karl...that DEN team has played better without him.
Now? Rinse and repeat, unfortunately....a very good team in NY, with, YES - a GREAT Coach in D'Antoni....if he leaves, then NY would be left with Amar'e (who'd get more touches, which I bet would be a better thing for that team)...JR Smith, Chandler, Lin, B-Diddy, Landry Fields and Novak. Still a very good team, except they'd have a borderline superstar in Amar'e and a top 5 Center overall left in Tyson.
I know some may question my use of GREAT coaches, but BOTH of these guys led their respective teams deep in playoffs before. Karl has had a bit more success, with leading SEA to the Finals vs CHI back in the day. Mike has won Coach of the Year, too.
