Curry's ankle injury is a big problem. If you get Curry, you need a backup plan. I think Kirk is best option for backup plan. Curry and Kirk works for me, if we do this...
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=79gn9gzThis year; Curry-Ray-Pierce-Bass-KG(Bradley-Kirk-Pietrus-Wilcox) and maybe Beasley.
IMO Beasley good for us. I love Green. He is more disciplined player than Beasley and more useful player for a team like Celtics. He has been injuried for a few months and he wont be able to play for more a few months. This is a big loss for a player and it's going to take time for him to recover and give his best to team. Green is not a -Birt Rights- player. Giving much money to a player who has been injuried for a long time is a gamble and he can choose to go another team next year because he is a unrestricted player. If we get Beasley then he gives us leverage for next year to negotiate or in case Celtics cant make a deal with Green. And I believe KG, Pierce and Ray may be a good mentors for Beasley.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7alncebThis is a better option for us.
Next year; Rondo gets $11M next year, Curry $4M
http://www.celticsblog.com/2012/1/27/2752081/how-much-money-do-we-have-for-free-agents-anywayGive Kirk $4M(Ridnour, Blake, Farmar, Barea)3-4 year contract.
Curry 4
Kirk 4
Pierce 17
Pietrus 2,5
Bradley 1,5
Howard 20
and our -Bird Rights- player Ray-KG.
+Green(or Beasley $8M)...
= $57M for next year.
Bradley-Kirk-Pietrus-KG-DH, these are five good defensive players and we have Curry, Ray, Pierce, Beasley(or Green). IMO this team have potential to dominate NBA.
And there is a thing that i dont understand. Why Celtics wont allowed to offer MLE contract to a player next year?
