I feel like Who has this draft all done out for every team and judges us by how close we come to matching his picks.

I figured with a backup wing, and two more picks before the drop I could make the move to overpay on a rookie center who I have a lot of faith in. He prob would've been there at seventh pick, but he has enough valuue to me

Well, Ben Wallace was pretty good.  Maybe I should take a second look at him.

that's a real high mark for him, the potential to get there is there for him tho. But it'll take a while cuz he's still so green.

I think he would still have been available if you had waited because I think the perception is, he's nowhere near as good as some other bigs still on the board.

But sometimes you overpay for what you believe in.

I agree with you, nick. But to me I felt better about definitely having him and taking a big hit to my tenth guy off the bench, then taking a small gamble and keeping that eighth round pick where it was.

Bench: JJ Hickson,  Lamar Odom

I need some more back court depth but my starting lineup can run all day and play decent D.  respectable forwards off the bench so far.  IMHO

What's your 2 cents?

I would have loved to have seen a high level defender / rebounder alongside Brook Lopez.

Along the lines of what Dale Davis was to Rik Smits or Anderson Varejao was to Zydrunas Ilgauskas. That type of dynamic (highly skilled offensive five + high level defender/rebounder PF). I thought Biyombo would have been perfect for that role.

I desperately want to see Brook Lopez get some much needed help in the paint on the real-life Nets. I'd love them to target a big man of that ilk to play alongside him (Varejao would be great).
