What do you guys think about my team?  I think I've built a real contender, just got to get a few back-up rebounding bigs.

PG: Russell Westbrook/Mo Williams
SG: Vince Carter/Mo Williams
SF: Dorell Wright
PF: Shawn Marion
C: Tiago Splitter

I like the team a lot, but I don't think your a contender. Definitely needed a more pure 2 guard, especially with Westbrook controlling the ball as much as he does. I think you need d and spot up shooting out of that position. Vince Carter really doesn't do any of that.

I like the KNicks to beat your team in a contest of basketballs.

Like, a basketball collecting contest? Like on guts?

Yes. Exactly like on G.U.T.S!

Also you understand you're no longer on my christmas list, because you said G.U.T.S.! in lower caps, which we all know is physically impossible. G.U.T.S. is alwalys capitalized. Unlike that crapfest 'Legends Of The Hidden Temple'.

I mean, I always wondered...how come those kids didn't just turn around and duff those olmec guys in the mouth when they grabbed them? What is this, flag football for mister glass? ITS A HIDDEN TEMPLE! RUN!

A joke of my friends and I was to provide a job description of the temple guards.

"Um, well basically I threw on a skirt and chest protector, then ya know, hide somewhere real dark and such. Then when the kids come by I'd pounce on them and take em away"

Didn't you trade your pick to Orlando?

I agree that you'd be in good shape adding some bigs and some depth at the 3. Westbrook is a nice piece to build around but you could use another A level player to help him out. Carter/Williams/Wright/Marion/Splitter are all solid role players but you need someone who can step up in a big way for this team.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Denver after 4 rounds:

PG: Ty Lawson
SG: Arron Afflalo, Ben Gordon
SF: Jason Richardson
PF: Al Horford
C: Nene, Nikola Pekovic

I would trade Jason Richardson or Ben Gordon. Or even Afflalo. One of the three.

I don't like Jason Richardson at quick forward and there aren't enough minutes in the backcourt for all of them. Best to trade and fill that void at SF.

I agree that it's a bit of a stretch, but if anyone can make the shift, it makes sense with J-Rich. Plus, the options where I was picking for SFs didn't seem to make sense in my draft slot. Things would be much better if Gordon could handle any of the minutes at PG, but we all know that ship has sailed. Appreciate the advice from you and SO, though.

I'll open everyone up for trades. Ideally I'd like to keep my big man rotation intact, and as mentioned I could use help at SF.

Yeah, I think JRich is the odd man out. I can think of a perfect 3 to slot in there, who is still on the board.

Plus, if you're waiting for Horford to return (whenever that is), I feel a younger SF would make more sense.

I'd hold onto Afflalo, though. Big fan. BG, not as much.

I agree about the spot up shooting (I'm hoping Williams' 40% three point shooting helps there), but Carter has the best defensive rating (98) on my team according to Basketball Reference, slightly better than Splitter and Marion's 100s.  Is there a more accurate statistic that I am missing?

Again, I have to plead ignorance when it comes to advanced stats or anything nearing advanced. I know I watch enough hoop to realize that Carter ranking is probably an outlier - similar to the Bass one Roy pointed out earlier.

Hmm.  I hope not.  I haven't actually seen Carter play in a long time.
