I think real Orlando vs. fake Orlando is going to be an interesting debate.

On paper, it probably goes to fake Orlando.  On paper, though, real Orlando would never be projected to be as good as they are.  Dwight basically guarantees them 50 wins, no matter what crap Otis Smith throws out there for a roster.

Yeah that's something I've been thinking about, in addition to fake Orlando v. real Hawks. I think something to consider is that in 2-3 years when Johnson and Amare are still All-Star players, I'll still have a young core of 23-25-year-old Holiday, Mayo, Anderson, Vucevic. That lineup in itself isn't a contender for Team of the Future, but it's certainly a Playoff Team of the Future. This team might need a year to mesh, depending on how I fill it out, but in a year or two it's going to be [dang] good.

Vucevic was the guy I was hoping would fall to the Celts last year.  It was a smart pick by Philly.

Willing to trade any of my guys:

Nash
Reddick
Granger
Carl Landry
Gortat

Make me your best offer.

What's the deal with Carl Landry? He got hurt again, right?

Not that I know of, he's played 24 games this year.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Well, starting 5 is ready:

Lowry
Lee
Prince
Millsap
Howard

That's a 3 seed, minimum. Elite defense, elite rebounding, and very balanced scoring from the starting 5.

I like the team IP, my only bit of criticism is that I wish one of those wing players was a little better with the ball in their hands. I was hoping you'd pick Hayward a little earlier.

I think I remember you saying you really liked Lowry, but I feel like that puts a lot of pressure on him to create and distribute.

That's 'Big City' pronounced in the same fashion as 'city wok' from South Park.

Does the draft seem less active this year than in year's past?  Or is that just the nature of the more laid back Pick 2 atmosphere?

That's a pretty valid criticism. I think you're underrating what Prince can do with the ball in his hands, but neither one of them is Paul Pierce. If by some miracle of Cheez-Its the opposition can stop Dwight Howard in the paint, stop Paul Millsap from the...everywhere, and stop Kyle Lowry from getting into the lane and to the free-throw line, I'm kinda stuff-outta-luck.
