Well Phoneix looking for a little defensive help go with Shane Battier....

pretty interesting squad:

Nash
Reddick/Battier
Granger
Landry
Gortat

thoughts??

I also have a very tempting trade proposal that I'm debating on.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Denver after 4 rounds:

PG: Ty Lawson
SG: Arron Afflalo, Ben Gordon
SF: Jason Richardson
PF: Al Horford
C: Nene, Nikola Pekovic

I would trade Jason Richardson or Ben Gordon. Or even Afflalo. One of the three.

I don't like Jason Richardson at quick forward and there aren't enough minutes in the backcourt for all of them. Best to trade and fill that void at SF.

I agree that it's a bit of a stretch, but if anyone can make the shift, it makes sense with J-Rich. Plus, the options where I was picking for SFs didn't seem to make sense in my draft slot. Things would be much better if Gordon could handle any of the minutes at PG, but we all know that ship has sailed. Appreciate the advice from you and SO, though.

I'll open everyone up for trades. Ideally I'd like to keep my big man rotation intact, and as mentioned I could use help at SF.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I like it in theory, but I think Shane's cooked.

Agree 100% At the very least, you're putting him on 3's, not 2's.

Oh ya. He's got absolutely no shot at covering a 2 guard.

I think with reddick their battier could thrive playing either the 2 or 3. He wouldnt have to play extended minutes.

I like J Rich at the 3 more than I do at the 2. I don't think he has the quickness to keep up with 2's any longer.

Oh, thought there was another person before me.  I'll take Vince Carter.

Got to class a little early :P I think you guys are off about Battier, he's kept both 2s and 3s to under a 10 PER this year and has been shutting them down. Even Miami's defense is statistically better with him on the floor, and he subs in for two of the best wings in the game. He also had lockout legs but the last 5-10 games has been killing it.

Oh well, I'm off :P

I've been very impressed with Battier's defense when I have watched the Heat. His poor shooting is probably just a slump. He'll probably work himself out of that given time. The decline in his rebounding numbers is quite worrying though. I don''t know what to make of that.
