Trade:

Sacremento trades: 2.18 and 3.11
Indiana trades: Roy Hibbert and 5.18
Sactown doesn't own 2.18

They own 3.18

2.11, maybe?

Does that invalidate the trade?

Wow I suck at this haha. My bad guys. Heres the picks traded.

Indiana gets 2.11, 3.18. I get 5.7.

Sorry for all the confusion.

And we own 3.11 too

I think the trade is probably 2.11 and 3.18

I honestly did a massive double take when I saw how far down the Spurs fell.

So did I.  I had them in the top half.

The biggest issue with the non-snake draft is not the best teams, it is the middle top.  Teams that can be good because of depth no longer in position to really build that depth.

Thats correct. It was a 2nd a 3rd for Hibbert and a 5th. I just didn't update my picks in my profile, so I through myself for a loop there.

Great trade for the Spurs. Right now you have their big 3 + Bosh. Wow.

I was given the luckiest position in the draft.

I agree with this. Once you get past the top 3-4 teams you don't have two All-Star keepers. I think things level off pretty quickly after the 1st or 2nd round.

I say just start working the phones.

Look at nick and I.  We had arguably the worst starting position of any team, because there were no two-star combos left; we started with a crappy pick, and the Cleveland Cavs.  We're now psyched with our lineup of Irving/Deng/Bogut, and we have two #2s and moved up in the 3rd.

Having a mediocre team and a mediocre pick is going to suck if you're inactive, but if you do some diligence, I think you can really improve your situation.

Houston and Rondo2287 is another good example

Well, except that he's building around this year's Mo Williams, i.e., Carmelo.
