So far players chosen a lot higher than I thought they would be:

Serge Ibaka
Mo Williams
Ray Allen..though I understand why with the chemistry involved
Al Harrington

So far players I though were chosen later than they would be:

James Harden
Tony Parker

Everyone else? Pretty much within a pick or two or perfectly where I thought they would go.

Best work so far:

IP transforms Melo/Stat and a part to DH12/Lowry/ Gallinari
Rondo transforms Lowry/Martin and a part to Big Al/Melo and some picks

So who's next?

Trade has to be approved/posted by IP, and then whoever traded for it will be up. And then me  ;D

I'm pretty much in agreement, I think the fantasy point lists will show some of those guys higher than maybe expected and thus being picked ahead of where you might expect.
The doubling up on Centers and PF has been the biggest surprise for me so far.

Loved that Harden fell. Mo Williams in Round 1 is the biggest shock just because he is so universally dissed in these drafts.

I don't see how Harden going at 8 constitutes him 'falling.'

This strategy backfires a lot as people feel they can move them later and get same or better value back.

I remember a couple of year's ago in the CB Draft someone chose Ray Allen in the 2nd round when they already had Dwyane Wade thinking he was the best talent and would trade him later. Later turned out to be a much worse player selected like 60 picks later. Or something like that.

Actually I think the rules are that if it is past the time the next person can draft. Making trades very close to the deadline and then waiting for approval holds up the draft.

I might be interested in moving up from 1.28, depending on the price tag.

Or, trading picks for a player who's already on a roster. [Sorry, Merovech, no interest in Mo.]

Doesn't he have another half hour?

I think the strategy is fine, but you also have to select someone you'd be willing to "live with."

Trades already been agreed to. And its with me. Should I just have Evantime draft the player I want to not hold up the draft?

I've got zero problem with Ray Allen where he was drafted and consider Harden and Parker solid picks rather than steals. I suspect the rest of your "reach" list is right, I'd add DeAndre Jordan, but obviously there's a premium on front court talent.
