I like the Gallinari pick a lot.

Oh sure, but when I drafted him over the summer, you called him "undynamic."

Anyway, the Portland Trailblazers are super bummed to instead draft Carlos Boozer.

Just think of all the material you'll have to use against me if and when I diss this Boozer pick.

Wait, you and Nick moved up? I thought this draft was supposed to be "for fun?" Well, I'm not having any.

We find our fun in annoying The Walker Wiggle.  Sadly, our overtures to move up to the pick directly in front of you in every round for 100 TPs and an autographed picture were rejected.

Brook Lopez moving to PF?

Haven't exactly figured out the logistics of this yet...

I think he was a good pick. There were (for my money) better players on the board still, but lets not forget, there are probably 20-25 legitimate traditional defensive centers in the NBA of starter-quality. Jordan is one of them. A lot of teams are going to wish they had a guy like Jordan.

I'd just let him sit for a bit, keep quiet, let people forget that you over-paid for him a little and get tehm to over-pay you with a player you like better.

I still think they could play together though. I feel like DeAndre could really play on any type of team and not upset chemistry. It's not like he needs touches and hes always going to be a defensive force.

I think that DeAndre Jordan is a good player. I also think though, that you're gonna want someone who can step out and guard perimeter 4's, and I don't think either Lopez or Jordan can guard a guy who can put the ball on the floor (like Amare)

This is in the works as we speak...:)

Hurray! Another 2 PF team.

Except both of my power forwards play defense, wise guy.

Boozer??? Defense????

LOL

He's talking about his other two PFs.  (Although, in fairness, Boozer is actually a decent defender against opposing centers.)

Ah, there it is...

That's what's so interesting about going with an unconventional lineup like Anderson/Amare. A couple of frontcourts might bulldoze right through that, but there aren't that many out there with centers willing to run around with Anderson on the perimeter or quick enough to guard Amare. Rebounding obviously takes a hit, but it's always a good debate.

Yeah his issue is in rotations/help, his man defense is solid especially for a guy without a ton of length/hops.

Yeah, I think that defensively, you're gonna get brutalized up front. You're going to need to pick wisely at the 1, and at the 3.

You're going to need to win 120-110, rather than 98-93,

This makes me sad.  I was looking forward to you defending an Aldridge / Boozer front court.  I could have picked up some tips for next year's CB Draft.

A Ryan Anderson type would probably give my front court problems but I can live with Ryan Anderson beating me.

Maybe a Dirk would kill me, but I like how we match up against nearly all teams.

I also think DeAndre is quick and athletic enough to keep up with an Amare. Well, as much as possible, he is a top 20 player in the league and no one is going to really shut him down.

No, you wouldn't learn anything. I'm just going to quote liberally from your Randolph/Boozer material.

The real trouble is that Jordan gives you nothing offensively in a miss match on the other end to offset the trouble he's going to have trying to defend the perimeter. He's too raw a scorer.

Also not sure why in the world you want to pull one of the game's best young shot blockers away from the hoop?

I like the kid a lot, but he's a center.

To quote you, "LOL."  ;)

Things I learned from Roy.

He's got a 7'2" wingspan. But right on both other counts RE: rotations, hops.
