Welll.....

I got the 6.3 tomorrow. Where should I go with it? Size? Backcourt? Scoring? What are the flaws on the Knicks I can address?

The backcourt / wings.  You could use some reliable defenders.  As shown, that's not Rush or Prince at this stage, and Lowry has been spotty.

Still, disagree vehemently about Lowry.

EDIT: If someone sees someone on the board they feel like I absolutely 'gotta grab', I'd welcome the advice.

  • Yup
Anyone wanna finish up drafting my time?

You can have the unadulterated joy of finding a hidden nugget that will pull it all together for the up and coming Pistons.

I'm headed out of town tomorrow and hope to have little to no internet for the next few days (though I generally find some way to get on line).

Still...I could use the help.

I could make up a list, but it isn't the same.

I believe Roy might have interest. Maybe.

I'd go for outside scoring or a back up for Lowry, but that's just my opinion.  I've already made one bad pick in this draft.

Who was your big no-no?

EDIT: Ah, Vince Carter. Yeah, that one wasn't a hit with me.

Nah, it's Williams.  I'm pretty happy with my Carter pick, getting a super efficent and fairly productive player who has actually played pretty good defense the last few years with a fourth round pick, even though nobody else seems to agree.  I honestly wasn't expecting to still have my first rounder, then panicked when Deng went one in front of me.  I like Williams,
and he's shown he can play the 1 and the 2, but I should have picked Parker or Boozer.

SG: Jeremy Lamb / Jodie Meeks
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Taj Gibson / Derrick Favors
C: Greg Monroe / Brandan Wright

Nah, it's Williams.  I'm pretty happy with my Carter pick, getting a super efficent and fairly productive player who has actually played pretty good defense the last few years with a fifth round pick, even though nobody else seems to agree.  I honestly wasn't expecting to still have my first rounder, then panicked when Deng when one in front of me.  I like Williams,
and he's shown he can play the 1 and the 2, but I should have picked Parker or Boozer.

Ah, Mo Williams. He's like that one word that you used to not be able to say on TV, but now you can on TV (but not celticsblog).

Williams + Carter.  Those are the biggest reasons why people will have that team out of the playoffs.  Regardless of stats, few people are going to find that they contribute a whole lot to winning.  That's probably unfair, but that's the perception, and once there's a perception, it usually sticks.

I'll take over if we can't find another GM, but I'd like to stay on board the Cavs, as well.  If that presents a conflict of interest (despite this being non-competitive) I hear ya.

(First move:  trading Greg Monroe to Cleveland for an 11th rounder.)

I think Mo Williams is a good player again. Man I couldn't stand him on the Cavs (and the Cavs falling apart with him not picking it up down the stretch didn't help). Now, I think he's in a bad situation.

See, I think when on the Cavs, he was at his best.  He could just sit around and hit open shots.

When he takes on a bigger role, his inner-chucker comes out, and his desire to play defense disappears.

Alright, I'm gonna start doin some surgery on the draft board to update it for Monday.

If you made a trade, and it ain't in the trade entry (3rd post in this thread), speak now.

Did you ever sort out that other "uneven" trade that was made?  The one between Portland and... (?)

Yep, settled via PM. Like gentlemen.

Haha.  I could use a lesson from those GMs, then.  I've stabbed people for less than stealing my 11th rounder and handing it to another GM.   ;D
