  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
I'm not even a Westbrook guy and I'd take him over Gallo & Martin a thousand times out of a thousand.

Kevin Martin and Gallinari are both 1st round picks in this draft (or would've been).

2 1sts (in this draft) for Westbrook sounds about right.

Trade to announce:

Sixers Trade: 4.5, 6.14
Knicks Trade: 4.20, 5.20

Seems fair. Interested to see who IP's moving up to grab.

The commish is a terrible person.

Well I won't disagree with that

Agree to disagree here. I don't have a very high opinion of Kevin Martin at all, and I think Gallo functions as a very nice complimentary piece. Not pieces I'd give up for a game changer like Westbrook.

Trade To Announce:

Philly trades: Westbrook, Wright, 5.15, 7.15
Jazz trade: Gallinari, Martin, 5.12, 8.12

I'll break the silence. Westbrook is way more valuable than that.
I think Philly just lost the one thing they had in that they had a star player to build around. I would probably like this team better if it were to start over and keep Jrue and Iggy and build on their mid round picks.

Westbrook is a superstar no doubt, but Philly has nothing else. Dorrel, not enough? They might not be worth in value, but at least having Gallo and Martin means having a 1-2 punch of scoring, even if their defense is pretty bad. Two high tier talents, one is playing in a near all star level before being injured. for a superstar. Was that value enough for Westbrook, certainly not, but will it help this team win at least a little more games, absolutely.

These last 2 trades convince me that Yoki is purposely trying to kill this team.

He gutted this team to get Westbrook then gets half the price or less back upon trading him away less than 48 hours later and then continues to trade down away from quality players.

Yoki, Westbrook should have been worth twice what you received and you shouldn't have traded down out of 4.5 You need quality and quantity and trading down isn't getting you either.

After Westbrook I won't have anything else. I know the value of Westbrook is not worth Gallo and KevMart, but it gets me two players that on certain nights can take over games instead of one. This team is more likely to win more games than just having Westbrook and nobody else. If I land a point guard (and there's still a few out there) who can maximize the talents of those two scoring dudes, the team would be in a much better state.

This is the Carmelo Anthony scenario all over again.

I think there's still enough scoring out there that you could've surrounded Westbrook with enough talent.

I think my only issue with the trade is that it'll be hard to fill the holes at PG and PF in the coming rounds because that's where the major talent runs were the first two rounds.

But I'm pretty anti-Westbrook. I would have kept Durant and harden if I was Seattle.

Finding a starting caliber PF at this point relegates you to flawed roles players (like Dorrell Wright) or really raw and completely unproven prospects. Its a rough field out there.

PG is a bit more open. That's where the talent is right now.

Maybe I was wrong about that. But I just don't see anybody else. I see a good amount of Forwards who can be get withing the 5th who can help this team on the boards. I like the trade I made. I believe it gives me more of a chance.

I'll give IP this - he's right in saying that point guard is where the talent is right now, and you're certainly helped by that. I think the important thing now is to think about how you want this team to look going forward.
