I think people tend to forget that Perk was not only a near-perpetual injury risk (shoulder, too), but NEVER averaged even 30 minutes.
I wouldn't tie up starter money in a player that can't or doesn't, for whatever reason, consistently play starter minutes.
It kills me that the pick isn't looking so high these days. I can't believe how bad we got screwed in the lockout, and then by simple bad luck. First the big we get in trade heads overseas to a lucrative contract (how unlikely for an NBA player to get more money overseas?), then Stern hands CP to the Clips the year we have their pick, and finally JG's medical issue.
It feels like 1990's era luck, doesn't it?
