no, right now Rondo>Rubio.
If Rondo has hit his ceiling (I don't think that's the case, even at his age), then Rubio could be a better overall player, but we must give him more time to show if he can play at this level consistently.
I love Rubio, he was amazing at age 14, but during his last two years in Spain he's been questioned a lot. He didn't play as well as everybody expected. Maybe it was Xavi Pascual system, or maybe he was living something like a sophomore slump, after playing amazingly for Joventut and being drafted and shipped to Barça. The spanish media are in awe, because nobody trusted his chances in the NBA, so we must let him be a rookie. NBA game is more suited for him than FIBA basket, but it's too early to know if he can dominate games in the NBA.
Rondo, he can dominate games in this league, but he doesn't seem focused on that. His teammates aren't helping a lot, sure. I hope this is just an extended preseason for the C's, and they start playing Celtic ball as soon as possible. They probably won't be the best team in the league, but they can do a lot better.
I'd give a lot of credit to Adelman for Ricky's good start, he's managing Ricky perfectly. I'm sure he learned a lot 20 years ago, when he didn't know how to integrate Drazen Petrovic on the Blazers.
Maybe is homerism, but Rondo is a better player than what he's showing right now, and we'll be witnesses. Go Celtics!
