I think they were trying to show case AB.  This of course, blew up in their faces.   He was no cased not show cased.

Now they'll be trying to showcase Moore. Let's see how that's going to work out.

I'm really tired of seeing our perimeter players being left wide open and no one giving them the ball. This was true as soon as Moore came in, he was open the whole game and no one gave him a single pass. And he's not alone in this.

That has a lot to do with Rondo

I actually had that in my post, but I erased it because I didn't want to focus on Rondo. Dooling was equally responsible for this behavior.

I agree. Dooling's shoot first mentality has been very dissapointing so far.

It's a tough balance to strike for him and it's going to take a while. He comes in and plays SG for a while with Rondo, where his job is to shoot when he's open. Then he runs the point with the second unit, it falters, and he tries to make something happen by shooting it. It's going to take some time for him to get comfortable going between two vastly different positions and roles, and for the bench to gel.

Get real folks we need any scoring help at times.   I am glad we got Dooling.   Assists can come from anywhere, Larrry led the team in assists when we had DJ folks.  Who else is going to score on the second unit aside from Bass?

Our ball movement has not been great but we have had scoring droughts and offensive droughts.  That is the reality we ought to appreciate anyone who can put it into the hole.   I'd rather have Dooling shooting than Bradley, O'Neal or some of the other guys.

I think that might be largely because of Doc, who clearly likes the idea of Quis as a point forward.  If the offense is being run through Quis, Dooling should be functioning more as a shooting guard.

I for one don't think it has anything to do with Dooling's shooting mentality. But some plays really bug me, and it's hard to excuse it from our PG. Open perimeter player, you pass him the ball... then we got plays like Marquis fighting for position in the post, he gets great position and play after play they ignore him. We're just playing completely dumb basketball from all angles, and I don't know who to blame in all honesty. I don't know what instructions Doc is giving, or what plays they went to run, etc.

I suspect you're both right.  Good to see that 3J isn't on the block early.

I think Moore is goign to be a pretty good bench contributer...obviously once pietrus comes hell be relegated to the bench, but the kid makes smart decisions and can SHOOT

something avery cant do.

Don't know about decision making, but at the very least he looks like he can play with some confidence.

A lot of this has to do with the desire to establish some sort of post game.  We spent a lot of time trying to get KG, Daniels and even Bass to establish post position and seal for the pass.  Instead of quickly reversing the ball weakside, the ball-handler (Rondo or Dooling) would just wait for the post player.
