Moore didn't show much defensively in the preseason. Too small to guard forwards and bigger guards, too slow-footed to stay with quicker guards. He'll stick around because he can shoot, but I'm not sure he'll be as good as people expect him to be.
Norris Cole couldn't keep up with Rondo as well... I'm just sayin..

Mavs in June when they won

Dirk - 33 years old
Kidd - 38 years old
Terry - 33 years old
Marion - 33 years old
Cardinal - 34 years old
Stevenson - 30 years old

That's the age of some major players on last years NBA champ.

They were also healthy and Dirk and Terry played at all star levels.

  • GOT IT!!!
C's can't afford to wait around for Bradley to do something. He's too raw of a player anyways. Moore at his worst can make a basket which Bradley can't even do.

Excellent news. Let's hope Moore makes the best of this opportunity.

I feel sorry for Braddy. Injuries screwed him on top of being anything but a point.

But hurray for Moore.

I'd say it was Bradley who played himself out of the position, since Moore didn't do anything impressive yesterday either, garbage time or no garbage time.

Sure. And he proceeded to being Norris Cole in the next Heat game. That is, he was thoroughly mediocre.

“There were a couple of questions answered today, as bad as the game was. I think E’Twaun has moved in front of Avery (Bradley), we’ll probably play them both. At times Greg was our best big on the floor, at 5 or 4. There was a stretch when he was our best player, whether that’s good or bad. - Doc Rivers”

Avery posted this 20 minutes after Doc said this;
"SMH!" (For those who doesnt know what this means, Shaking My Head)

I like Avery. If we really wants to keep that spot, GET YO HEAD TIGHT lil fella. Stop making so dumb decisions on the offensive side. The guy has potential, use it!.

Agreed.  The only thing positive Moore did was split a pick.

Does anyone really understand WHY Bradley was playing over Moore in the first place?  Doc hardly ever played him last season and when he did, Avery often looked like hot garbage.  Avery then went 1-13 in the preseason, though it's not like Moore lit it up himself.

I'll give Doc credit for only taking three games to realize he needed to give Moore a look, but can anyone think of a reason beyond Doc's disdain of rookies for why he went to Avery over Moore at all?

Mike

You do realize this was his first REAL pro game, right? Even though he did much of nada, at least he didn't look lost on offense! What did he get, a handful of minutes and he has already looked better than AB, so much so that Doc would move (and say it publicly) him ahead of AB!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Moore and Stiemsma won a preseason game for us. It looks like we might need them both to win regular season games for us too.
