because he stopped shooting! Only player that could create his own offense.
He only took 2 shots in the last quarter---(maybe he was tired of getting knocked around!)
Without PP, he needs to average 30 pts a game for us to beat good teams. Once he stopped takin' it to the hoop and NY's D tightened up late in the 4th, you could tell we were in trouble.
BB looked really good. Ray played decent. Sasha and Avery combined for 0 pts 1 reb and 1 asst in 24 minutes--pure waste!
Tuesday will be ugly---real ugly!
Lookin' at +/- 5 games under/over .500 this year, and thats if everyone stays pretty healthy.
Moore, JJJ, and Stiemer see no action--very disappointing.

Rondo is the only reason we had a chance to win this game

The Celtics just lost by 2 to a top 10 team without their best two options at SF. I think you should hold of on the doom and gloom predictions.

As for the three young guys, I've never seen a group of people so ready to hand over a rotation spot to a 2nd round rookie in a season where the team is trying to contend like everyone is doing with Moore. The right bigs played today as well. The young players will get plenty of chances this year. It'll just be when it makes sense to play them, like in blow outs or back to backs.

Rondo was amazing today.  This is ridiculous.   I can understand pointing fingers at some of the celts today,  but rondo was the only reason we weren't blown out.  He did everything that everyone wanted and more.   Best pg in the league.

I hate to play the blame game but if you want to put the game on someones shoulders I let Allen have it over Rondo by miles and miles...

The quick shot of the out of bounds play with a fresh shot clock was terrible... Followed up by his rebound with 35 seconds left...He should have pulled it back and set it up, instead he rushed it (again with a new shot clock) and lost the ball...

As I said I hate playing the blame game though. Rondo wasnt the culprit by any means. It was a well played game from front to back, just came up short.

Agree...I know Ray scored well today, but he seemed to stand out with bad passes, losing the ball while driving to the basket, and rushing his shot.  All in all, considering PP wasn't playing I'm not overly concerned.  I am very pleased with Bass.  He looks like the real deal, surprisingly a good rebounder.

Rondo and Bass were the reasons we were in the game.

We lost to a Knick team that had to be hyped to win this game because we tore them a new one last playoffs.  We didn't have Pierce and got zero points from our starting SF in 15 minutes of play and we still took them to the wire and almost won.  We were hurt by Joey Crawford's agenda and one sided calls and we still almost won.

Rondo was our best player today and the stats bear it out.  We really miss our Captain as a finisher.

+/- 5 gms.. Seriously? Are you going to own up to that when this team is 10-15 games over .500?

All they need is another shooter (Pietrus), and they need the big 3 to knock the rust off and get going. This team showed a lot today and they have a lot of growth potential.

Your post shows an extreme lack of perspective, man. Have some faith!

Rondo was busting his ass for a win, it was a hard fought game, we came down from 17 down to take a 10 pt lead. It could've gone either way

Doc yelled during the 2nd qt, that we were too soft, the Cs responded

I am satisfied now, I see this Celtics is a team that will compete and refuse to lose

Rondo didn't lose the game but he stopped taking what the defense was giving him when the game was on the line.

He lost his aggressiveness at crunch time.

Its not how you start the game... its how you finish it.

Rondo got tentative offensively... something you can count on from him when the big moment arrives.

Still a very good game for him. He just couldn't finish.

There needs to be some type of punishment for threads that don't incorporate any sort of logical thought.
