Jeff Green might need a procedure done or medication?

Well we don't know yet of course but we should soon, came across this in The Herald not sure how reliable it is.

According to sources close to Green, his health is expected to be fine in the long run, but there is a question now as to how long it will take to get him there. The Celtics are said to be concerned on both fronts.


Physicians are still dealing with test results, and it will be determined whether Green needs to undergo a procedure or if his condition can be controlled with medication.

“He’s out still,” coach Doc Rivers said before yesterday’s practice. “(He) hasn’t passed the physical yet and, you know, it’s tough.”

Rivers said he’s already dealing with the possibility that Green won’t be able to play at the start of the regular season on Christmas.

Well... This is certainly not turning out well for green or the celtics.

I wish green the best, but now am worried about this season. Green was central to the immediate plans of the team. Without his scoring and play at pf and sf the celtics bench went from a strength to a question mark.

Until an official statement is made I am not booking anything. Even if Jeff Green can't go for a couple months he could still help us later in the season. If we come out and the team looks good I don't think Ainge will break up the big 3 just because Green is injured.

I do love the people that thought Jeff Green was a horrible player, a complete waste of money and minutes for the team, but now suddenly with this POSSIBLE health concern he is integral to our title chances. You can't have it both ways, people.

Two things: First, I never thought Green stank. Being down here in Houston, I have seen a bunch of his games and he could really play. In particular, when he played the 3 when Durant was out he was awesome, really filled it up. Frankly I thought he could be a bigger, more rugged version of Scottie Pippen.

Second, even if he comes back "after a couple of months" that will not help. He has missed camp, will not have time to find his role, so on and so on. We are toast. I wish people would not keep drinking the Kool-aid.

good news..looks like pierce can play 40 minutes a night...this is just like the last 2 season at SF...and no..daniels is not an option. he will be next to get hurt

so our back up wings are daniels (a guy with a LONG list of injuries) and sasha? are you kidding me? in a shortened season? my lord...and the back up 2 guard is averay bradley? wow...not good at all

daniels is made of glass. the guy gets hurt every year and misses more games than he plays. if that is plan B then we are screwed

We dont know anything yet so im gonna stay positive...if he just neda medication it might not be t that bad
