wording suggests a deal could be a completely different one that involves other trade partners.

i have to think danny is on the phone offering that rondo / green / picks package again, or something like it.
I'd be shocked if he didn't.

Of course he should demand that David Stern or one of his minions be in on every conference call. He cannot let a deal like that go public now until it has a league stamp of approval.

please we don't need another day or so involving rondo in some other trade rumors. Let's go Chris Paul to LA and make them pay for him the right price.

Now, considering the situation... do we really need cap flexibility for next year? I hope danny can go after players like Hamilton or, better, Jamal Crawford.

Just a question: do we have the MLE if we sign&trade Jeff Green?
i dont think we have the full MLE with jeff green and bass signed we are at like 73 million. thats 3 million over the luxury tax so we have about 2 million of the MLE left i guess? not sure i asked this question earlier though

No we have the mini MLE. 9 mill spread out over 3 yrs
wow that sucks. dunno why we have the minni mle what happen to the normal MLE and LLE

Teams that are over the cap don't get the full MLE. New CBA in place now.
wow that makes no sense whats the point of MLE if your under the cap.

What? No the MLE is people over the cap. The mini MLE is for people over the tax.
ok that makes sense now, so we couldnt get under the cap to get our mle and lle back? by maybe waiving oneal?
We'd have to waive O'Neal to do so, not a good idea as we need Cs so bad. The extra money is unlikely to land us better options.
I see. but we would end up with around 8 mill to sign nice center. too bad there are none in free agency
The mid level isn't 8 million.
MLE+LLE?

yeah, any chris paul deal that ends up getting reported will almost certainly be verified and stamped by the league before it even gets out to the media as being "done."

not gonna mess around with another veto debacle.

You can't combine the two exceptions like that.

Ooo  alright i see 5 mill wont get us any where and no good scorers out there that will take the LLE. Jeff Green better step it up this year if he aint traded.

The primary work on deal has been between Lakers and Hornets sides, sources say. Rockets still get Gasol, still move same parts. Odom to NO.

Sources say Rockets are likely to put one or two young players into the deal. Unclear which ones, but HOU willing to make moves.

Interesting that there are no rumors of the framework this time.

probably keeping it close to the vest until it's approved.

in any case, sounds like paul is probably a laker by the end of the weekend.  i just hope and pray dwight doesn't follow.

I don't really care about Howard -- he'll do what he'll do eventually. I just hope we can snag David West in the ruckus.

I read that this deal was holding a lot of things up as far as signings. Hopefully the cp3 deal is shortly followed by the david west deal, which is them followed by us signing someone good for the mle.
