please we don't need another day or so involving rondo in some other trade rumors. Let's go Chris Paul to LA and make them pay for him the right price.

Now, considering the situation... do we really need cap flexibility for next year? I hope danny can go after players like Hamilton or, better, Jamal Crawford.

Just a question: do we have the MLE if we sign&trade Jeff Green?
i dont think we have the full MLE with jeff green and bass signed we are at like 73 million. thats 3 million over the luxury tax so we have about 2 million of the MLE left i guess? not sure i asked this question earlier though

No we have the mini MLE. 9 mill spread out over 3 yrs
wow that sucks. dunno why we have the minni mle what happen to the normal MLE and LLE

Teams that are over the cap don't get the full MLE. New CBA in place now.
wow that makes no sense whats the point of MLE if your under the cap.

The Media hyped the hell out of this deal. Jalen Rose was on ESPN radio right after talking about how this made LA the team to beat and how they'd end up with Dwight too. And people wonder why the owners vetoed? C'Mon man. C'Mon media.

The C's are going to be taxpayers in almost any scenario, so we have to plan on just the mini-mle.

ok that makes sense now, so we couldnt get under the cap to get our mle and lle back? by maybe waiving oneal?

We'd have to waive O'Neal to do so, not a good idea as we need Cs so bad. The extra money is unlikely to land us better options.

Rondo???
if anything, it increases GSW's and LAC's chances

Those dudes aren't trading their guys without an extension...
Probably not, but you never know. These things are fluid.

If the leagues mandate is to get a better/younger package the C's should make the call to Demps again.

how great would it be if the clippers got back in on this and paul went to LA . . . but not to the Lakers?  classic.

I agree. I am trying to keep myself in check bc I was disgusted after last night when I found out we lost out on him, but I don't see how the Rondo and picks package is beat? Especially if we do more in like getting Green to sign his QO and then trade him for Ariza.

yeah . . . i doubt the league would allow paul to get traded to somewhere other than the lakers so soon after vetoing the lakers trade, especially the celtics.  would look really bad.  but i have to imagine danny is at least picking up the phone and giving it a shot.  the hornets, after all, were purportedly on the verge of accepting the rondo / green / picks package, and then at the last minute chose the deal that made them better in the short term.

if lakers were willing to trade bynum to the hornets and kept gasol, while adding a couple future 1sts, that could very well do it.  houston wouldn't be interested in joining in if they couldn't get gasol anymore, though.

the hornets could also ask for something like a combo of patrick patterson and marcus morris in place of luis scola, too.

I see. but we would end up with around 8 mill to sign nice center. too bad there are none in free agency

The mid level isn't 8 million.

i have to think danny is on the phone offering that rondo / green / picks package again, or something like it.
