As teams wait to re-engage Hornets on Chris Paul, here's one executive: "Truly feel for those guys, but we're all gonna lowball them now."
This doesn't make any sense. Since the league shot down the LA deal because it was "low-ball", how is it going to allow any _other_ low-ball deal?
I think the idea is that the league isn't going to allow ANY trade to LA, not just that it voided this particular one, thereby reducing the Hornet's negotiating leverage.
Frankly, the Lakers should immediately offer Bynum, Odom, Artest and a 1st round pick for Paul and Emeka Okafor. I think it'd be much harder to argue against that trade.
