So no cap-room teams chose to bid on Arenas and he's free to negotiate w/anyone. Told he hopes to land on same team that trades for Dwight

- Marc Spears
Ah, poor Dwight Howard ... why does he have to get stuck with Arenas?

He really doesn't want Dwight to win a ring.

Evans is at the top of the list, but Blazers would need full MLE to get it done. Blazers won't have MLE unless they amnesty Brandon Roy
Reggie Evans' asking price according to John Canzano

Evans asking for the full MLE? Yikes.

Setting aside the MLE-for-Evans debate, quick question: when does the insurance kick in for Roy? I thought it was as soon as the retirement papers were approved by NBA, but maybe it's later in the season? And wouldn't that cover something like 80% of Roy's salary?

Ouch... that's a tough one for Clips to match.  They kind of have to, but it's definitely not a good valued contract.

If the Clippers to manage a trade for CP3 revolving around Eric Gordon, what do you guys think of a S&T of Jamal Crawford for Chris Kaman?  The Hawks get a starting center and can push Al Horford to his natural position, and the Clippers get a legitimate starting 2 in the absence of Gordon.  That is, unless the Hornets get Kaman in the deal.

Clippers:

PG- Paul, Bledsoe, Warren
SG- Crawford, Foye
SF- Butler, Gomes
PF- Griffin, FA
C- Jordan, FA

Hawks

PG- Teague, Hinrich
SG- Johnson, McGrady, Stackhouse
SF- Smith, Williams
PF- Horford, Radmanovic
C- Kaman, Pachulia, Collins

Nene report: He'll end up w/either Nuggets, Nets or Rockets. But consistent word on this is that Dwight/Marc Gasol sagas must play out first

Denver apparently confident that they can sign Nene, says Marc Stein.

the hornets would get kaman in the deal.  he's the financial core of the trade (makes the salaries work).  however, it's possible the hawks or some other third team could make some kind of trade to acquire kaman, since the hornets would almost certainly have no interest in holding onto him.  if the hawks offered a pick or some other kind of considering, they could send crawford to the clippers and take on kaman, making it a 3 team deal.

thing is, though, jamal would have to want to sign to go play for the clippers.  sounds more like he wants to be on a contender, not a fun young team that's likely to be a one-and-done playoff team at best.

Any news on Arron Afflalo?

I assume Denver wants to retain him, but I can't recall hearing any chatter about him.

Hasheem Thabeet is apparently a serious amnesty candidate, says Rotoworld.

He is very overpaid due to being a number two overall pick.  I don't see anyone throwing big money at him, my guess is that he'll get serious looks from the Cavaliers, Pistons, Timberwolves, and 76ers.

Lots of interest.

Reports said he had the most interest of any player outside of the high priced centers.

Denver will match any reasonable offer though. Someone will have to grossly overpay to steal him away from Denver.
