The Magic have acquired Von Wafer as part of their sign-and-trade with the Celtics. Wafer will sign a three-year deal

It sounds like the final two years of Von Wafer's deal with the Magic will be non-guaranteed.

Interesting.  Did he fit under their trade exception?  He must have, because otherwise the money wouldn't work.

The one they got in Rashard trade perhaps.

Orlando's two guard rotation (JJ Redick, Von Wafer) looking very vulnerable in terms of defense and rebounding.

They are going to be there for taking for every opposing two guard in the league.

I think Reddick is a good defender at this point.  I actually think thats whats helped him get established in the league and not flame out.

Wizards are reportedly close to acquiring Turiaf.

And Vlad Rad signs with Atlanta.

Vladamir Radmanovic is a very nice signing for Atlanta. He'll be a quality combo forward, stretch four, off the bench for the Hawks. His shooting and scoring ability gives them something they haven't really had in the frontcourt (bench) for some time.

Not sure about the Turiaf trade. I think it might slow down Kevin Seraphin's development. Appearently, Seraphin has been playing very well in Europe during the lockout. Turiaf might eat away a big chunk of his minutes.

Stan Van Gundy does a great job of protecting Redick from difficult matchups. That helps Redick greatly.

He will no longer be able to do that with Redick in the starting lineup and with only Von Wafer backing him up.

Redick is going to look a lot worse defensively this season. Not because he has regressed but because SVG cannot protect him anymore.

Thats possible. I'm sure knowing D12 is behind you  in case you get beat helps too, but I still think he's at least a decent defender.  When he came in the league that was a weakness, and it at least "appeared" that he was making it a relative strength.  We'll see.

I think this is legit but I've also never heard of this site.  But who would make something up about Jeff Foster?

If so I'm bummed, he would have been the perfect $3 million center.

Very good move by Indiana. It'd be nice to see Jeff Foster finish his career there.

I really like Foster as well - he is a player I always wanted to see in green, but looks like he is finishing his career in Indiana. Great move by Indiana.
Celtics fan for life.
