People are p---ED over on the Hornets forums. They actually liked the Lakers deal. It seems like no one over there is even considering the celts deal. Theyre all saying the only good thing that could come out of the deal being held up, is if the clips and warriors sweeten their deals. Boston really isnt even in the running to them.
Not even in the running?!!?!?!....didn't they hear about CP3 being scheduled for a physical for tomorrow here in Boston earlier in the day before NO made their last round of calls to give teams a last chance before NO finalized the Cs offer???
Not in the running as in they didnt think our offer measured up to anyone elses. Basically they dont see our players like we do. Here's a link to one of their threads. Yall can maneuver through their forums from there

+1 dtrader for the link...thanks....
and the ?!?!!??! were directed, not at you, but at those fans on that board who didn't think that the Cs were even in the running because of their own biased, personal opinions of the deal, when in actuality it was almost a done deal by management and shows me that they might be out of touch with the value of two young talented palyers like Rondo and Green and two firsts that both we and the Hornets decision-makers valued more ...sounds like the youth and picks that they were originally screaming for, No?..again, thanks
always great to here what the other boards are saying
From their boards, the player they really wanted was Curry. That seems to be the overall preference over there. But once he was pulled, they wanted "young prospects and picks" to build with. It seems like over there (as over here), there was a lot of question regarding whether or not we were including picks, and exactly what picks those would be. The only things they knew were in play from us were Rondo and Green, and that was a not starter for them, as they didnt see either as a piece to rebuild around. Rondo because of his obvious limitations, and Green probably for a lot of reasons (no real "position", underperforming last year, used to being 3rd option, seems to coast at times, etc).
I understand how they feel about Green. I think a lot of us feel pretty similar to that. He's been unimpressive with us so far, and was just a 3rd option in OKC. The main thing in our trade proposal was Rondo. For us, that seems like it should be enough because of how we see him (leader on our team, one of the pieces of our "future", etc). To them though he's basically just a one dimensional player. Even if he does excel in that 1 dimension...its not enough for a team to build on from scratch
In the Lakers deal, they saw picks for the future, and young PG with potential, and 3 other good to great players to either keep or flip for other young players.
