Two sources confirm reports that CP3 to Lakers three team deal has been put on ice, perhaps permanently. Source: "Chris is really upset."

Who cares cry baby! Good luck in NO this year ROFLOL!

I think he still goes to LA... as a Clipper.

Wow, so does mean that the Hornets are not allowed to trade Chris Paul under any circumstances until after the team is sold?

That is what it sounds like to me.

Does this really change anything though??

Dont get me wrong, this is great to see, but the writing is already on the wall.  We can pretty much see that both of these guys want to play in LA now.

LA just has to find a reasonable way to dump Gasol and Howard for picks and expiring contracts

On what grounds is this getting killed?  I suppose I'm happy for anything that puts the screws to the Lakers, but I'm not sure why this trade was so egregious that the owners would see fit to kill it.

Am I missing something?
Because the trade is blatantly unfair?

People are p---ED over on the Hornets forums.  They actually liked the Lakers deal.  It seems like no one over there is even considering the celts deal.  Theyre all saying the only good thing that could come out of the deal being held up, is if the clips and warriors sweeten their deals.  Boston really isnt even in the running to them.

Not even in the running?!!?!?!....didn't they hear about CP3 being scheduled for a physical for tomorrow  here in Boston earlier in the day before NO made their last round of calls to give teams a last chance before NO finalized the Cs offer???

This is great info IF it holds up....  I was in the dumps thinking I was going to be cheering for LBJ for the next 10 years.

Can't belive it though...... but honestly its like the Yankees thing, LA doesn't even need a draft ...they get anybody all the time and the rest of the NBA gets screwed ...time after time

pipe dream.  This trade is a done deal... nba isn't going to call it off and then trade him to Boston.

Even beyond unfairness, think of it this way:  If Danny makes a deal with the Lakers, but Wyc hates it, the deal doesn't go through.  Here, the other 29 franchises take the place of Wyc.  If ownership doesn't like the return the GM is getting, a trade isn't going to get made.

Pf. No, it isn't, really.

This has been a completely strange day.  In basically 12 hours, we went from CP3 seemingly becoming a Celtic, to the Lakers swooping in at the last minute and taking him, and now he's staying a Hornet...for now.  Bizarre.

Not in the running as in they didnt think our offer measured up to anyone elses.  Basically they dont see our players like we do.  Here's a link to one of their threads.  Yall can maneuver through their forums from there

if they prevent paul from being traded until the team is sold... Lakers will just go all-in for Dwight Howard and ya'll will be hating life regardless ;)

You have to let the trade play out, Roy. You can't judge it now on it's face.  ;)
