It's going to be interesting whether the C's are even allowed to sign and trade Davis, because currently, they would likely be over the Luxury tax (depending on how they calculate it), and under the NBA's proposed deal, they may not be able to do sign and trades, as a team over the tax line.
If they can however, I just would not expect much value in return. Davis is going to be a less than MLE type player, therefore, every team in the league will likely have a chance to sign him without giving up anything. They could still work out a sign and trade for him, but it won't be for anyone that another team is not pretty much planning on letting walk anyways.
