Lastly, let's give Kane some benefit of the doubt here. He put together a tremendously strong squad in the CB Draft. It's not like I only make good trades. (How's David Lee + Michael Beasley for Chris Bosh working out for me these days? People howled about that one, talked about how I had ripped off the other side, etc. A couple years down the road, give me Lee and Beasley, please.)
Really, you reach back and the worst trade you can come up with is one that netted you a top 30 player, 2010-11 All-Star PF that went to the Finals?
You miss B-Easy that much, Hobbs?
Just saying, here's how that trade worked out:
Chris Bosh: 18.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.6 blocks, 49.6% FG%, 0.1 3PM
vs.
Michael Beasley: 19.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks, 45.0% FG%, 0.8 3PM
David Lee: 16.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.4 blocks, 50.7% FG%, 0.0 3PM
I got fleeced. I lost 17 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 0.7 3PM, while coming out roughly even in FG%.
That's a pretty terrible trade. I did okay in getting Deron for Bosh, but had to downgrade from John Salmons to Ron Artest to do that.
