Lastly, let's give Kane some benefit of the doubt here.  He put together a tremendously strong squad in the CB Draft.  It's not like I only make good trades.  (How's David Lee + Michael Beasley for Chris Bosh working out for me these days?  People howled about that one, talked about how I had ripped off the other side, etc.  A couple years down the road, give me Lee and Beasley, please.)

Really, you reach back and the worst trade you can come up with is one that netted you a top 30 player, 2010-11 All-Star PF that went to the Finals?

You miss B-Easy that much, Hobbs?

Just saying, here's how that trade worked out:

Chris Bosh: 18.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.6 blocks, 49.6% FG%, 0.1 3PM

vs.

Michael Beasley: 19.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks, 45.0% FG%, 0.8 3PM

David Lee: 16.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.4 blocks, 50.7% FG%, 0.0 3PM

I got fleeced.  I lost 17 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 0.7 3PM, while coming out roughly even in FG%.

That's a pretty terrible trade.  I did okay in getting Deron for Bosh, but had to downgrade from John Salmons to Ron Artest to do that.

Looking to possibly make moves - here's my roster:

Jarrett Jack
Jameer Nelson
Mike Dunleavy
Greg Monroe
Al Thornton
Eddie House
Carmelo Anthony
Elton Brand
Drew Gooden
Mehmet Okur
Randy Foye
Andrew Bogut
Jeff Foster
Francisco Garcia
Jordan Hill
Damian Jones
Terrence Williams
Iman Shumpert
Brandon Knight

I'm willing to move anybody, but serious offers only for Carmelo, Monroe, or Knight.  Anyone wanting Jameer also needs to offer a decent PG because I'm pretty thin there.

Am definitely looking to move one or maybe two of the Bogut, Brand, Okur, Gooden group, but Bogut in particular will cost you.

Needs are picks, prospects and/or solid wing guys.

See, that's still better than the best trade I made last season, I lost 20.7 points, 16.7 rebounds, 3.6 blocks, for just a 4 assist gain in picking up CP3.

The Draft Dodgers are looking to add a #2 power forward. Get in touch.

Trade to announce - we've both confirmed with the commish but he isn't here it seems.

Rusted Rims trade:

Elton Brand
Drew Gooden
Randy Foye

Gainesville Celtic trade:

Tyrus Thomas
Corey Brewer
GC's 1st rd pick.

I definitely am worse off this year but I feel much better about my squad's future.  I feel like I sold high on Brand but I'm not sure if it was quite as high as it could've been.

Gooden and Foye don't have much value, but Brand is the best player in the deal. I like it from both sides.

If Thomas ever "gets it" then this trade will seem lopsided. That's a big "if" though.

Yeah he's a slightly more polished Anthony Randolph in a lot of ways.  But I think Charlotte's looking to ditch Diaw and give Thomas some more PT, so we'll hopefully see what he can do soon.

High risk, high reward for Fair Weather Fan. I like this trade fine, give the edge to GC. Brand is a valuable pick up. Gooden is one of my least favorite players, but could start in Milwaukee. Both are PF/C qualified. TT is a perpetual fantasy "What if?" But the bigger "What if?" Do we have a season? If we do, and Kirilenko and Martin stay abroad, GC's pick could be worth something.

And once again I'm too slow. I only just sent a "I'm interested in Elton Brand. Let me put an offer together" PM. Where is everyone else getting their sense of urgency. Red Bull?

I don't like it for you, mostly because I don't believe in Ty Thomas at all.  Thomas is going to be 25, and is still the same player he was at 22.  I mean, Gooden has the potential to put up the same numbers as Thomas (minus the blocks), meaning if Thomas doesn't improve, you gave Brand away for a non-lottery #1.  I think you might have been able to get a little better value.

At the same time, I've been wrong plenty of times, and I hope this turns into a win-win for both of you.  Also, my assessment of this trade has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I made a trade offer on Brand and didn't get a counter-offer. ;)
