I don't get the lack of love for D. Wade, particularly as measured against non-champions like Hill.  He has career averages of 25/5/6, he carried his team to a title, and he has two of the top ten best statistical series in NBA Finals history.Six times All-NBA, three times All-Defense, seven time all-star, Finals MVP.

Wade is much more deserving than Reggie, Hill, or really, anybody on the list other than Dirk.

I see Wade as a jerk that rode Shaq's coattails, then instead of competing did that thing 4th graders do where they try to "pick" teams to get all the best kids on the same team, then couldn't even win with that.  

For Grant if I can take votes from a guy who was always always hurt I can give votes to a guy who persevered after getting hurt badly. Grant was hurt maybe more than any player in the league for a period of maybe 4 years. Then he came back to play 82 games, which I find remarkable, but on top of that had to change his game as a result at an advanced age and even now every team he plays on is better off for his presence. I can't think of lots of guys like that. In the same way that we have various players that we hope never win a ring (I'm look at you Lebron) there are guys like Grant that every basketball fan outside of Michigan wants to see win one.

You must have extraordinarily high expectations, if you consider that coattails riding.  Shaq, meanwhile, was the team's third leading scorer, averaging around 13 points per game.
