Yesterday I picked Gin & Tonic but didn't realize Kwhit10 had picked Tanquery & Tonic (which I'm guessing is the same thing --- i'm not skilled enough in liquor to know... haha.

So I think I should make a replacement pick (along with my current pick) right?

Can i get a witnesss ruling?

I have both picks lined up....

That sounds right, from the rules:

You can specify the brand yourself, but when someone picks a liquor its off the table. So if Captain's is picked you can't select Admiral Nelson's

The picks of Tanqueray should have taken gin off the table as a mixer with tonic.

With our replacement 10th round pick, the Rank & File selects a Scottish Ale/Wee Heavy beer: Old Chub

With the 2nd pick in the 11th round, the Rank & File selectsour 3rd entertainment: The Avett Brothers

I probably could have let the Avett's slide for a few rounds but I couldn't take a chance of someone else taking them. My favorite band of the last 5-6 years. I've seen them 12 times in the last 3, went on a first "date" with my wife seeing them in 3 cities in 3 days.

For the uninitiated, they play what I think they've best described as "Grunge-grass" --- i.e. punk mixed with bluegrass. They can (and do) play slow, hearbreaking love songs then 10 minutes later will send a crowd into a frenzy with spastic number that would make Q and Not U jealous.

They love covers of beautiful lost songs and obscure tunes, they constantly trade off instruments, they give everything they have at each of the 12 shows I've seen them play.... I've seen probably 200 shows in the past decade and with 1 or 2 exceptions I've not seen a band that goes more all-out every night.

Every set every night would bring something totally different. And the encores with them and Wilco could end up being transcendant.

I think GC should be able to make another pick but I think it is understandable for everyone to miss it...a Tanqueray and Tonic it technically a drink (like a Margarita) and gin is a liquor (like tequilla)...really this is no different than Lucky choosing Margaritas in round one and then FWF choosing tequilla in round two.

I'm not crazy about the Avett Brothers, but there's something about them that makes it feel like the right pick for GC's bar.

My wife has moved on from T & T's and has now developed a taste for Hennessy and Tonic.

Gin is kinda tasty liquor, but evil once you're past a couple.

It's definitely an acquired taste.  It took me awhile, but I eventually became a big supporter of the double gin and tonic.  Sadly, I un-acquired the taste over time, probably starting with the night I ran out of mixers and combined gin with Beast.  That's a nasty combo.

I was lucky to see them before they broke out in several small clubs. I think that helped make me crazy about them --- as intense as any punk band I've seen and as beautiful as any songs I've heard live.

Our wedding invite CD (yes our wedding invite was a mix CD -- fun idea but more expensive than you'd think) had 2 of their songs on it.

I've had a few friends do the wedding invite CD thing and it's a pretty cool idea.  Did you and the wifey pick out the songs yourselves or did the wedding party pick songs that made them think of the two of you...I've seen both done.
