  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Coolest bar food I've ever seen:

"Hog Wings"

They're trimmed down, slow-roasted pork shanks drenched in hot sauce and served with bleu cheese.

I saw those on a menu somewhere, and wasn't sure what they were (no description).  They look delicious, now if I could just remember where they were selling them...

I'm surprised some people have never heard of scorpion bowls.  The wife and I share them whenever we see them on the menu, mostly at Asian establishments.

Brings me back to the old days when I first started working out of college in Boston and hitting up the Hong Kong...

Those were some long happy hours.....

Yea Hong Kong's happy hour with the scorpion bowls and apps is a good time.

I haven't been there in years, but Hong Kong got many a good night started during law school.

Specialty Drink - White Russian

Love this pick, too.

They look like the bar-b-que turkey legs they sell at the state fair.

Ok guys, I am back and am ready for my next pick.  For our next beer Sam N Ella's selects...

Chimay Grand Reserve

This picture is a 3 liter bottle that we were given last year at our wedding from some friends (I took the pic next to a bottle of wine just for scale).  It needs to sit for 7 years and our plan is to gather with these friends on our 7th anniversary and then pop the bottle and drink it all.

A value pick: I need an American pale ale, and feel that I just can't pass this one up:

Lucky's selects Sierra Nevada Pale Ale

This is gonna be a shocker.... Lucky stole my pick  >:(
(guess there's a first time for everything...)  (as did IP with the Rogue Dead Guy...)

I beg forgivness for my missing picks today... morning meeting followed by a migraine.

with our first missed pick we'll take:

mixed drink Sangria

I wouldn't drink this all the time, but a nice change of pace, good lunchtime drink and goes well with Nachos.

2nd pick to come in a few mins...

When i lived in Somerville I worked 2 blocks away from the Hong Kong and walked by there every morning and sadly never went into the Hong Kong #fail?

with my 2nd missed pick I'm gonna get the shot/specialty drinks out of the way....

a tribute to my late friend Pennie -- who when we'd drink these by the pool, would give her trademark approval line: "This is livin'!"

Gin & Tonic

Added bonus: whenever anyone orders a G&T, we'll play this oldie but goodie:

There's 2 Hong Kongs, one in Cambridge and one in Boston. I've found the one in Boston considerably more fun, but it's definitely a younger, fanuel hall bar.

Though Cambridge has a lot more room.

I haven't had Grand Reserve, but I'm a big fan of the Chimay brewery.
