  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Been wanting to brag about Splitter at IP's expense for a while now.  And while I'm at it I TOLD YOU SO about Bogut  :'( :'( :'(

Barbosa is shooting 3s like he's back in Phoenix, but Toney Douglas needs to leave NY IMMEDIATELY.  His game is definitely not made for that system.

Oh yeah, and Varejao is clutch, unfortunately.  2 buckets and 3 rebounds in the final 3 minutes, including an offensive rebound AND a steal/loose ball dive on the last possession to take the lead.  Absolute definition of "who wants it more," one of the only guys that can win a game with no skill and pure hustle.

Lol...you had no idea he'd break his ankle, come on!

But, you def won the Splitter trade. I haven't seen enough of Robin Lopez to feel one way or another about him now, so you're looking at a likely starting lineup of:

Lowry/Sessions
Harden/Morrow
Delfino/Henderson
Williams/Jerebko
Stoudemire/Tolliver

Certainly not a world-beater. Still a playoff team, but Bogut is a huge hit.

It's Andrew Bogut, of course he was going to get hurt.

Common knowledge.

Also, I knew that if he didn't get hurt then Amare would   ;)
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Lowry, Delfino, Tolliver, Sessions... sub 40% FG shooters unite!  And watch out it's rubbing off on Amare!

For the record, Josh Childress is giving me pretty much what I expected, 2ppg and stuck on the bench.  Meanwhile, Gerald Henderson has 15, 5, 2, and 1 on 46% shooting.  Can't call it a sure win yet.

Anyway, back to players that matter, didn't I hear somewhere that Derrick Williams could shoot 3s and that Lowry was a better or comparable 3pt shooter to Chauncey?

Lowry's shooting .356, Billups is shooting about .376 .  I think that's pretty comparable, especially when you consider their respected roles.

Well A) Don't you try knocking Kyle Lowry. He's playing beyond expectations so far, and that's including a shooting slump.

B) Amar'e's #'s with Melo off the floor and his numbers with Melo on teh floor are night and day. Check them out, its unreal. Melo's not on my team.

C) How's that bigs rotation looking right now for the ol Sixers?? Splitter is playing pretty decently  (you're welcome :) ), but West started out the season like warmed over dog-doo, and hasn't really improved drastically on that, Martin isn't even in the NBA, and Miller hasn't even logged 10 total minutes yet this season. Couple that with Wade missing serious time, I'm thinking the Sixers are sitting right about .500 or lower about meow.

Significant minutes ONLY if you think Paul George has stopped growing... I'm banking on him being 7'3 by June.

At what height does it become mandatory that he talks like either Deke Mutumbo or Andre the Giant (his choice, of course)?

I'd say at 7 feet he should start at least get an email address. Keep it informal, something like "my body keeps changing and I'm starting to get a little nervous"
