But if football is the preferred outlet, really just need someone to grab the rock and go w/ it.

I am ready for a football draft.

I am down with a full starters draft with 3 offensive and defensive specialists.

Nickle backs.

Pass-rushers

nickle LBers.

There are a lot of things you can do to play with defensive schemes if you have extra players.

I say, go all in.

15 days.  30 rounds.  Or, if people are up for picking at night, do it in 10 days (two rounds during the day, one in the evening).

Mandatory positions:

Offense (11): QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 5 OL, 1 TE

Defense (11): 2 CB, 2 S, 3 DL, 3 LB, 1 DL/LB

ST (3):  K, P, KR

Coach (1)

Wild cards: 4 total, minimum of 1 each on offense and defense

Yes, participation might lag for some.  I say, who cares?  Keep this less competitive than the CB draft; if people miss picks, the Commish can pick for them that night.

I think the question at hand will be do we want it to be historical or present day.  I personally am more a fan of present day, but i think a majority of those interested can determine it.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Lowry+Harden+Delfino+STAT+Bogut and Derrick Williams as 6th man is the most beautiful team ever created. Youth, defense, offense, versatility, athleticism, talent and explosive scoring ability. HOLLLLERRRRRRR....

Your team was voted out way too early last year, much like it didn't get voted out early enough the year before.  Welcome to the world of arbitrary voting, where nobody likes a winner.

I'd put your team at least in the same class as Portland's, and just a step below Philly's.

Well, its no Lowry/Harden/Delfino/STAT/Bogut/Derrick WIlliams, but it'll do in a weak Eastern Conference.
